The site is quiet, clean, and well maintained. The site owner was friendly and recommended a couple of places to try in Lacock. There are 2 toilet/shower blocks, plus a separate grassed play area. There's a wash room and facilities for freezer blocks, but no shop. There's a bit of road noise, but it's far enough away not to be obtrusive. There's also a flight path overhead, but it seems to be for a small airfield with infrequent flights, which meant it wasn't too noisy, and it was interesting to spot the planes. We stopped for 3 nights and visited Bath (30 mins) and walked over to Lacock (be careful crossing the A road), which was great to explore, including the independent shops, pubs and National Trust property. We would happily visit again.

Our third visit here, but first in the motorhome. Really great to be back, the site provided all the facilities we needed. Very easy walking distance into Lacock. Friendly site, both owner and fellow campers. Definitely plan to come back. Thank you.

The site is lovely, clean, COVID safe, pitches well spread out and everywhere is very well maintained. I stay here several time a year in my caravan and have been with groups with tents and thus highly recommended however you plan to stay. There is a park and safe play area for children. The site owner Peter, is a perfect host with a wealth of local experience and stories. He is welcoming and friendly. Lacock is absolutely stunning take time to discover the little nocks and crannies as there is a lot to discover. Be careful crossing the road.

We came for a short stay to see the Rhododendrons at Bowood. This is a lovely site with a very welcoming owner. Very tidy and with loads of space. Lovely dog walk which was very much appreciated. Children would love it here with the safe play areas and there is so much to do in the area, with Lacock village and Abbey within walking distance and plenty more within a short drive. Can’t wait to come back and would thoroughly recommend the site.

This site is really well cared for, grass kept trim, flower beds and hedges very tidy. At the moment due to COVID toilets and showers are closed but if they are looked after as the grounds I’m sure they will be very clean and tidy. Easy walking distance to Lacock, a beautiful National Trust village with a couple of pubs. The only downfall of our visit is the fact that we were unable to pick up any kind of TV or radio signal. On mentioning it to the owner he said some pitches are worse than others so if you’re considering coming to the site I suggest you try to steer clear of pitch number 6! We’re glad we brought a couple of games with us to keep us occupied during the wet weather.
