Stanton Manor was a superb location for a recent business function held at the hotel. The food and service was of a very high standard and we had excellent feedback from our guests. Rachael Frankland was very attentive to detail in the organisation of the event and nothing was too much trouble. Overall, I can highly recommend Stanton Manor Hotel
Awful, arrived at 10:45pm after booking / confirming online. No staff to check us in. Reception and other areas of the hotel completely deserted. Rang the bell, rang multiple phone numbers, no one picked up. Lack of security with all keys left behind reception desk. Waited about 45 minutes and gave up in the end and found another hotel. Terrible experience when we just needed somewhere to sleep.
On Sunday we had amazing afternoon tea at Stanton manor for a surprise baby shower! Rachael who I was in contact with regarding the booking was fab! She was promt with reply’s and nothing was too much to help me with organising everything! On the day we had a wonderful smiley happy young lady called Maddie who looked after us! She had set up the room perfectly ready for us to add some final touches! She kept coming in to see if we needed anything and again nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea was perfect, great options and the portions were plenty!! Overall our afternoon was perfect!! I would defiantly recommend Stanton and the team! Thanks again.
My friends and I planned a surprise baby shower and chose Stanton as it was such a beautiful venue inside and outside. We were so thrilled from the service provided from the planning stages/emails at the start and support especially under Covid restrictions right until the day of the event. On the day we were welcomed and waited on with friendly service from all the staff. They even managed to help us with the surprise element on the day, which made it very special for the mother to be! The food was excellent and I know our whole party would recommend Stanton and return ourselves in the future.
We stayed at this hotel for one night recently, as a little holiday and stop over on our way over to Bath. The location and hotel initially look nice, however the hotel itself is fairly tired and in need of some TLC. They seemed understaffed; food service here was very slow, and just ok, however the staff they did have on tended to be fairly nice. However - following on from this we have had probably one of the worst experiences at this hotel. In our room, the nespresso machine was not working. That was mildly annoying not being able to have coffee in our room. We complained about it on checkout but received no compensation for it. Then a few days after leaving, the hotel then charged £150 to our credit card. No reason, no warning, no note, just a mysterious charge. Upon enquiry, we were told this was for "breaking the coffee machine". Which of course we did not do, and which was an inconvenience to us. Then further to this, they charged another £60. The girl we were speaking to in accounts was baffled why they were charging us again. After many phone calls and going backwards and forwards, we eventually got the £210 back. That said - this is completely unacceptable. We were annoyed that the coffee machine wasn't working for us, however rather than being compensated for it, we were further charged another £210. Doing that without first speaking to us is ridiculous, and I think very unprofessional. I don't normally stay at places with a lower trip advisor rating - and I would recommend avoiding this one at all costs.…
