We stayed at Lubnaig House on a Friday and saturday night and found it to be the perfect choice for us. The house is impressive and well maintained and we were met by our host Crawford who showed us our room after a guided tour of the lounges and dinning room all spotless. all the rooms had a charm of...

Great hosts and excellent situation. The breakfast is good but note it is instant coffee - surely it's easy enough to provide fresh filter coffee?! The external grounds are lovely but the interiors are very tired and dated. It's a time-warp back to the 70's. Patterned carpets everywhere, plastic flowers in abundance and the room furnishings are just awful. The...

We've stayed here numerous times (most recently in June 2009) and have always had an extremely comfortable stay in this clean, very well run and maintained guest house. The hosts, Sue and Crawford Low, provide a warm welcome and a consistent high level of service. The house is in a quiet and convenient location, ideal for exploring the Trossachs. The...

We stayed here for one night last week and couldn't praise it enough. It is centally located, the rooms great. We were in the coach house. The host & his wife were great fun as well as extremely helpful. As to the breakfast, wow! And served up by the man himself in a full kilt, what more could you ask...

I have stayed here twice for a night each time on motor biking holidays. Welcoming hosts, clean rooms, great breakfast, superb garden. Within easy walking distance of the town. I've just booked for a third time.

Excellent B & B just off the busy main street (where much of the accommodation in Callander). It is walkable to all the restaurants and bars of which there are many. The room was clean and bright and had everything you need. The garden was large and very well kept with plenty areas to sit out in. The owners were...

The location is about 40 miles NE of Glasgow and the same NW of Edinburgh so it's a good place to stay for a first exploration of the 2 Scottish cities and part of the Highlands. The proprietors are very welcoming and have a great deal of free tourist information available. We stayed for 4 nights, accompanied by some South...

Touring Scotland as a lone female, I must say my nerves were a little tattered by the time I'd driven to Callander from Glasgow by way of Loch Lomond, Loch Katrine, and the spectacular scenery of the Trossachs. Let's not even discuss driving on the opposite side of the road from what I'm used to nor the impossibly huge size...
