The drive to this long established hotel was rather wetter and more dramatic than we had expected with high water levels in the lochs and the river having burst its banks in many places - including around the hotel's beautiful grounds. So, the rather quirky looking building (which is a rather unusual pink colour) was a welcome haven. The layout...

Hotel website really does not do this place justice. It is incredible value for the quality of the place. Our family stayed for two nights last July while driving around Scotland. The room and bathroom was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the food in their restaurant delicious. The grounds are truly beautiful and you are...

Went to visit my friens in Gartmore and she had booked for us to have afternoon tea in this lovely hotel, what a wonderful treat. The first cake stand had little quiche, finger sandwiches, scones, jam, and clotted cream with a wide variety and choice of teas, the second cake stand was full of sweet goodies lemon drizzle cake and...

Was so looking forward to another stay at Roman camp but all I can say is how happy I was to get back home. First of all had drinks at the fire then young boy comes over and offers us cheese before dinner when realising we where going out for dinner the manager lady in a grey suit tells the...

My partner and I stayed here on St Valentine's Night as a treat - we had a wonderful suite and dinner was superb. The staff could not have been friendlier or made us more welcome - although one forgot to place our order for breakfast in bed, this was rectified quickly with a telephone call in the morning and a...

Myself and my wife stayed in the Roman Camp during February taking advantage of their Winter offer, and almost a year on from our wedding at the same venue, we were not disappointed. The staff were ever pleasant, the grounds and hotel itself well kept, at the food beyond compare. Not necessary the cheapest place to go, but we certainly...

Yet again the team at the Roman Camp provided us with warm, friendly service with a wonderful eye for the small details that make the difference. The guests at our business event enjoyed the whole experience of ambience, good food and excellent wines. We were well cared for and enjoyed our stay.

We stayed 2 nights with dinner both nights on the hotel's winter bargain offer. We had a huge well appointed room with a decanter of sherry provided! The en suite included not only a walk in shower but a spa bath making it all very luxurious - the bed was absolutely massive! The highlight of any stay at the Roman...

Having attended a wedding here several years ago, we returned for DB&B (as a gift). We were not disappointed! The service is exceptional in every way. The food is amazing and with dietary requirements - nothing was too much trouble for the chef. We slept so well in our huge, comfortable bed and the shower was amazing too. Enjoying drinks...

Travelling home we stopped at this hotel for a coffee break. It is set in 20 acres of gardens by the River Teth in Callander. The house, dates from 1625 and was developed into a hotel in 1939. It is quite beautiful with warming open fires.
