Very welcoming host. Stayed one night, we were lucky to get a cancellation. Very comfortable extra large bed, quiet room. Enjoyed fresh fruit, yogurt, toast and coffee for breakfast. Would stay again. Off road parking.

Lovely meal, nice people, live music in the garden at the weekend. . Drinks in bar until dinner was ready. Very pleasant. Mostly flat, Wheelchair accsessable, with a little difficulty, driveway has stone chips making movement more difficult. Staff extremely helpful. We have onky used the restaurant and can't review the actual hotel.

Poppies is an excellent hotel.....and more. We had one of our best meals during our 10 day Scottish holiday in their restaurant. Our room was on the top floor and was terrifically clean and spacious. The restaurant, for both breakfast and dinner was thoroughly enjoyable. You won't be disappointed if you chose to stay here. Book ahead of time to...

Couldn't fault this small hotel - almost feels like a B&B but rooms excellent and food similarly of high standard. Parking outside and a nice dining room it's clearly the best place to stay for some distance. If I have a small criticism it's that breakfast doesn't start 'till 8:30am so difficult if want an early start ( though I...

We stayed for four nights on a B&B basis in a standard room, but also had dinner on one night. Firstly, I have to say that the dinner was quite possibly the best meal that we have had in a "British Cuisine" restaurant. The restaurant is quite small (maybe 10 tables) and they seem to like to spread the bookings...

This has to be one of the best eating experiences in Callander, with early evening prices very reasonable. The menu is interesting, and varied, the meal served with courtesy and some humour. The wine list and all the malt whisky range could keep you occupied for a fortnight. The food is excellent but do not expect to be stuffed full...

Lovely hotel and restaurant. Management are friendly and very personable and the staff work as a very efficient team. Food is of a high standard and the range of whisky was impressive. Stayed here for two nights Thai weekend for a wedding and would highly recommend if passing through.

We stayed a night on our way to the Isle of Skye. A" boarding house" sort of hotel set on the main road on the outskirts of Callander. Having said that almost everything is on the main road through Callander which, as a town, we found disappointing. However both the rooms and the evening meal at Poppies Hotel were fine...

I cannot fault our stay at this hotel. Everything was excellent. The room was clean and spacious with a good sized bathroom which looked out over the garden. There was an impressive range of bar drinks including Scottish gins and whiskeys. Our evening meal was delicious, all cooked to perfection. Hotel staff were all friendly and welcoming. There is just...

Stayed here for two nights, the room was small but we knew that when we booked, we only slept there so no matter ! Very clean and very comfortable . The shower /toilet were only behind a sliding door so make sure you are comfortable with each other !! Breakfast was delicious. Evening meal was equally lovely ! Great base...
