We recently went to this forest retreat and can say we were immediately Impressed by the cleanliness and the quality of the lodge. Everything was at a good standard and clean. There was everything you needed in the kitchen and the view was stunning. We did pay the extra £25 for picking our lodge which I think is worth it...

We have just returned from a week at Forest Holidays Strathyre and I don't think I've ever been so relaxed. The site is peaceful and very relaxing, and our cabin was spacious and spotlessly clean and had everything in it we would need. The hot tub was divine. They are close to Callander Golf Club, definitely worth a visit if...

We (my husband, toddler, 3 Month old and I) stayed for four nights in cabin 9 last week. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped, peaceful and relaxing! The shop was very well stocked, everything from baby calpol to "Cook" ready meals and alcohol and customer service team were very helpful and friendly. Big shout out to Dave who taught...

The cabin was lovely, spacious and clean with everything you would possibly need. The grounds were nice with a shop and café on site selling bits and bobs and a loch close by which we spent a few hours skimming stones. It is very quiet and peaceful and its really relaxing on an evening when your in the hot tub...

Just back from out weekend break in the forest in Strathyre. Me, my husband & our golden retriever had a fantastic time. I was a bit worried after reading some bad reviews but needn't have worried. These cabins are pure 5 star luxury in the forest. Yes they are quite expensive but you get what you pay for. The only...

Thank you for writing a review following your recent break at Strathyre. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your break and found it as luxurious as you were hoping it would be. To clarify with regards to towels, they are included with Golden Oak cabins but not with Silver Birch and Copper Beech, although they can be added...

Just got back from a midweek break at these log cabins. We found it very peaceful and restful. I would recommend you pay a little extra and choose your own cabin. We choose a lovely one which was nice and private. Which is a must when in the hot tub. The beds very comfy and the hot tub well maintained....

We have stayed at other Forest Holiday parks in the past, so had a reasonably idea of what to expect. The cabin we had was really good inside and I was told that it had been refurbished. No complaints whatsoever with the standard or the fixtures and fittings. As we can't be out and about all the time, we took...

Thank you for your review following your latest Forest Holiday. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed a relaxing stay at Strathyre. As it is a forest, the trees we have pictured on the map are representative rather than actual positions of trees but we can appreciate your frustration and will see what we can do to change the...

Finding the entrance was a challenge! But the book-in was quick and simple. Deal on tv package as no internet if you need is good. Lodge was off the road and short walk up steps nicely spread out and angled so fairly private. Inside lodge was very clean, open plan kitchen, dinning. Living areas not too spacious but comfortable. We booked a silver birch at Strathyre (we usually go for Golden Oak) and found the cabin to be comfortable, but with electric storage heating and no freezer in fridge it lacked a little in quality. When we arrived (around 17:00) the hot tub was cold; and on contacting reception were told to give it an hour or so. Unfortunately...

Thank you for your review, it is always good to get feedback from regular guests. We are pleased you found Strathyre to be a good outdoor holiday base but sorry to hear that, for you, it didn’t match up to Blackwood Forest or Ardgartan Argyll. Please accept our apologies for the hot tub problems which must have been very annoying....
