We had a really nice one night stay here. The lady on reception was really friendly. The site is clean, tidy and in the middle of the New Forest. The kids loved playing in the water. Out first stay in a 'wild' campsite with no facilities and we'll definitely be going back. We loved it. Family of 4 with son... More

The idyllically placed Forestry Commission campsite at Aldridge Hill offers a stay in the heart of Nature with wild horses and cattle visiting daily. Good cycling, walking, paddling and scenic drives start on your doorstep Brockenhurst with small branches of two major supermarkets is just two miles away. You'll need your own chemical toilet and there's no electricity, but we... More

Just spent a week at Aldridge Hill, my favourite site in the New Forest. I enjoyed my birthday whilst there and my Daughter, who lives in Australia had arranged a surprise delivery to the campsite. The campsite wardens were helpful, friendly and obliging, nothing was too much trouble. Simply love this back to nature site, so relaxing and calm, and... More

Lovely campsite in the heart of the New Forest. Brockenhurst is about a fourty minute walk from the site where there is the most fabulous bakery with gorgeous cakes and very reasonably priced. Camp site has no toilet or showers and you must have your own chemical toilet to stay. Managers were extremely helpful and the site is very well... More

Stayed 3 nights whilst attending a family party. Lovely flat site for our motorhome. Just walk outside and into the forest, wonderful. easy access to Brockenhurst and the Forest Park Hotel just down the road for food and drink. Site managers were great and really helpful.

This is an idyllic spot. We spent many happy years holidaying here with our children. It is basic camping though, you must have your own loo and shower. It is the friendliest campsite we've been on, just nice people. To be surrounded by the ponies, cattle and deer is amazing not to mention the amazing night skies if you're lucky... More

Had a lovely stay at this campsite, so nice to be able to choose your location in the site and not feel cramped. The staff very lovely and were discrete. Surrounded by fields full of ponies, cattle and deer (even saw some red deer). A stream runs down the side of the site and it is also dog and child... More

A really lovely site. Open field looking over the heather and pines or oak wood by stream. It is basic and there are no loos, showers etc. you have to take your own loo and dispose of it yourself, not very pleasent but all part of the charm!! We were camping, myself and my 3 sons and another friend and... More

Our favourite site in the New Forest, lovely & quiet with the option of camping in the woods by the stream or in the open with amazing views & sunsets across the heathland. There are always ponies roaming through the site which my daughter loves along with the stream for playing in. If you can cope without toilet & shower... More

We stayed here for a weekend recently and would highly recommend the site for those who like a back to nature, old school camping experience. the site has pitches under the shade of the forest and those facing out across the heath land. Lovely sunsets if you face that way. The site also has a lovely river running through and... More
