Stayed here for one night prior to attending a wedding a mile from Lily Hill Farm. Excellent accommodation and a warm and friendly welcome from Karen. First class breakfast which set us up nicely for a long day.

Imagine our delight when we arrived after a very long journey from Australia to find this peaceful, serene little farm stay. The cottage being a lovely centuries old family home is just a treasure, our hostess Karen was warm and welcoming after an epic journey. It is a clean, comfortable stopover in beautiful Durham close to the amazing town of...

We stopped here for one night. Seemingly on the top of the world, the skies are huge in all directions. The wind really blows hard! A homely farmhouse, with comfortable twin beds, and clean bathroom. Karen's scones were delicious, as was her full English breakfast.

We are regular users of farm bed & breakfasts , this certainly one of the best that we have ever found. The fresh milk ( to me an essential ), large clean & tidy bedroom, Karen, the farmers wife is a mine of information about the area. It all works brilliantly.

Wow what a find. We stayed at lily hill farm for 2 nights. We drove down the drive to the farm trying to avoid the pheasants who seem to like cars. We were met by karen. She was very welcoming. She took us to our room, showed us were the guest sitting room was and offered us tea and scones....

This was my first farm stay, and it will not be my last. What to say that nobody else has said already. Lovely family, fantastic Barney(the dog) who I could have smuggled out when we left! Such a homely feeling, complete with scones, homemade biscuits, fresh milk in a vacuum jug, comfy bed and fabulous breakfast, all in a great...

A lovely B & B experience with lovely hosts and a very comfortable room. Great homely touches such as fresh scones and jam in our room on arrival and home made biscuits to have with our tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was excellent - better than most hotels.
