A warm welcome followed by a neck and shoulders massage, then onto private use of the jacuzzi and sauna before heading up to the room to shower and get ready for the lovely dinner. favourite bit - looking out at the stars whilst in the outdoor hottub. Spent a great night here after a day in the mountains, sauna ,then jacuzzi before dinner, owner even brought us our drinks to the jacuzzi great views , food and our room had its own steam room. lovely couple who run it couldn't do enough for us 10 out of 10.

Fabulous hotel, fabulous location, fabulous facilities, and the most peaceful and best night sleep ever! Food, owners, everything faultless! Hot tub looking out over the loch amazing, couldn't have wished for anything more!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding at the lodge on the loch of Aboyne in October and could not fault it. The setting was simply beautiful- perfect for photographs in front of the loch. Beautifully decorated, very modern, big rooms, great selection of drinks at the bar. Great selection on the menu too. We had Lochnagar room next to the bar. Fantastic view from our window, Great facilities, we used the (new) hot tub, sauna, great selection of drink and food. Very chatty staff which I like.😀

2 nights in a fairly small room but with beautiful views over the loch. No wardrobe and not enough storage space for clothes. Drawback was other guests having an early morning smoke on the deck below our window - loud chat rudely awakened us! Walls also fairly thin! Stayed in the Glentanar Suite for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago. Giant room with great views across the loch. Ate and drank in the restaurant both nights and the food was very nice. No complaints at all.

Stayed here overnight with my family. The setting, view, weather and rooms were first class. On arrival at the 'reception' desk the owner had difficulty finding my reservation which was hardly a warm welcome. I started to think I would need to sleep in the car!
