Couldn't have arrived at a lovelier setting on a more gorgeous day. Such a beautiful setting and a gorgeous looking hotel. My five year old commented that he wished the cars weren't parked so close to the main entrance as it blocks out the beauty of the building. I can see his point but it's fine... The staff are warm...

We booked a Travelzoo deal which included dinner and we were not disappointed. We arrived about 5pm which gave us time to book in and walk along the lagoon before dinner. The room was lovely and at the very front. We were surprised that there was a balcony but you have to stand, as if you sit down you can't...

We visited Moonfleet a couple of weeks ago for the 4th time in 8 years. As always the staff were all very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Great place for my grandsons, lots to do and always were welcomed with a smile. Rooms were clean and comfortable, only problems in my room were lack of accessible power sockets...

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of the week and found the hotel to be the perfect place for a small family. The indoor play area was awesome with lots of toys and activities to entertain the children and a nice viewing area to let the parents observe (though you'd want to get up and play!). There is...

A family of four, we visited Moonfleet for our fourth visit over the Easter break. It was still as lovely as ever to spend time there as a family but the food and restaurant service really let it down. I'm vegetarian (and I don't eat fish) which made the dinner menu very limited. The first night one of the options...

Stayed here on a recent Travel Zoo deal, dinner, bed and breakfast. Good checkin experience, we were given the relevant paperwork with details of the deal together with our keys, the leaflet gave details of the money allowance towards dinner and it was clearly stated it was for food only, absolutely fine, plus two glasses of Proscecco. We were shown...

Turned up last minute. Seemed quite pricy (5 quid for local ale and food upwards of 17quid for a main). Looks like it's trying to be something its not. Charging that much one would expect salubrious and luxurious surroundings- all you really get is natural beauty. Definitely aimed at the London crowd, who seem not to expect much rather than...

Spent the weekend with my family, including my mum, at moonfleet. We had a lovely time. Staff very friendly. Decor lovely. Great activities. Especially the play area in the veranda. Rooms good and clean! Food lovely. Wine a little expensive though. Would be good to have a broader range of price on the menu. My daughter particularly loved the fairy...
