Surprisingly the inside was good, though it could do with updating! our bedroom was roomy and spotlessly clean! the bed comfortable and the walk in shower room was good..Clean towels every day.The food was basic but good. The staff were lovely and helpful. Also we used the lift which was very handy! In all we had a lovely five days break in...

Stayed for hen night, just want we needed with a great breakfast in the morning! Clean, comfortable and lovely staff. Ideal location, central to town and parking. Will defiantly stay again. Very rare to be able to book a whole party in one hotel. Great value for money!

Stayed at the hotel for a long weekend on a bowling tour. Hotel is between two roads and therefore has no garden area to sit during the daytime but the location was great for the shops and beach. Hotel staff were very good and helpful, food was very plentiful and hot. Our room was for a disabled person and had...

Our Bowling Tour booked the whole hotel and stayed for a long weekend arriving by coach. We were met by the hotel staff who guided us to the main door and as our coach could not get into the the small street the hotel was situated, all our bags were labelled and picked up by a small hotel van and...

Arriving there was no one to greet us. We waited 20 mins before someone showed up for us to check in. Went to room which was okay, clean, but very creaky and noisy and old. We weren't that bothered as it was just a place for us to sleep overnight. Anyhow we soon changed our mind between midnight and 4am...

This hotel was hard to find, tucked in the backstreet the front door looked more like a tradesman's entrance and the overall impression was depressed and tired. Our room was poorly decorated and dated with no shower and a stained carpet. In fairness the beds were comfortable and clean and although it felt more like an eighties B&B the breakfast...

£55.00 a night Clean , spacious room Small tv, shower was just about passable , not very powerful ... Breakfast was nice We did laugh when the orange juice was served as a starter But overall the full English was well cooked , presentable and tasty. It would be fair to say the hotel is dated and looks like something...

Our room fronted Maiden Street. There is a late night (11pm-4am) nightclub a few doors down. The noise from the Club and its customers was horrendous !! Impossible to sleep until it calmed down at about 4.30am ! Room was clean but no shower and no wifi available anywhere. Food was plentiful but rather poor quality. Staff were pleasant.

Recently visited Hotel Central with a party from South Wales. Overall the hotel was clean a comfortable and the staff very pleasant although there was some language difficulty with them all. Our main gripe was about the food. Some meals were edible (just) but on the last evening we were served with what was supposed to be roast beef. Strangely...
