This was a quick weekend away. Chose Linthwaite as we have stayed before, (twice) once over the New Year. As it was a last minute event only had choice of Room 22, still cost us £250 per night with DBB and we stayed 2 nights on a saturday/sunday night (and thats with my partner barting to bring the price down)....

Thanks very much for your kind review, and as you state we have already corresponded. It is quite unusual for our rooms to spark off an air conditioning request. Building regulations now make new build rooms so well sealed we have to install a/c, which somehow defeats the government's aims of 'more green'. I know that many guests like to...

This was a birthday treat for my wife, we stayed one night on a Saturday in the Luxury Lake View Room. The room has a private hot tub with views out on to the Lake, very romantic. When we arrived we couldn't have felt more welcome and relaxed more quickly. The hotel has wonderful roaring fires and is set out...

Many thanks for your romantic review. I'm sorry it cost a lot but I think you thought it was worth it. You do pay for what you get in this world. Buying cheap is often false economy. We hope to see you back again one day, Kind regards Mike Bevans

We searched and searched for a hotel in the Lake District and our favourite one was Linthwaite House. Our room was a good size, the bathroom was modern and the drawing room and living rooms were very cozy. The conservatory has a lovely view over Lake Windemere. The breaksfast that was included was fantastic.

Myself and my new husband travelled to Linthwaite on the 14th October, the day after our wedding and stayed in the Luxury Lake View room with a hot tub. We have a baby and didn't want to travel too far but we still wanted a luxurious stay somewhere and we weren't disapointed. We stayed for 4 nights and from the...

Me and my wife stayed here recently, the hotel grounds on arrival were well kept and impressive, the reception staff were very helpful, we were then shown to our room and the receptionist showed us round to make sure we knew where everything was. This cozy and meticulously maintained gem is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. We had room 32 which has a DVD player, flatscreen TV, a brilliant wall closet and all kinds of unobtrusive technology and strategically placed lights...they have actually thought through where lights should be placed to give the room a really comfortable feel, e.g....

Hard to believe you are 5 min from Bowness. The setting is superb with lovely walks in the grounds including a tarn. The service was excellent: friendl,y unobtrusive and efficient. The menus were interesting and the food wonderful. An excellent luxurious break which was well worth the money.

Thanks for the great review. Yes just five minutes from Bowness but a haven of peace and tranquility. That's why people like to stay at Linthwaite. Who wants to come away and hear the town's traffic? Thanks a lot Mike Bevans

My new wife and I loved our stay here and found the staff to be more than helpful but not intrusive or inclined to pester. Our room was always clean and well stocked with the basic necessities (coffee) The food was the best I had ever tasted but I will say I was looking forward to having a simple meal...

Went for afternoon tea with a buyagift voucher I received for my birthday. The setting was out of this world and the staff were really friendly. The sandwiches and cakes were freshly made and I was hard pressed to find a favourite as they were all lovely. All in all, a lovely treat

We travelled up to Windamere last Saturday and booked to stay the night and have dinner. The hotel has a deal for room and dinner which was great value.
