Just returned home after spending two nights at this beautiful hotel. The location must be the best in Bowness-on Windermere with spectacular views from our lake view room and from the restaurants and sitting areas. If you leave the hotel through the back door to the car park you are literally in the centre of Bowness, which is a lovely,...

Lovely place and stunning views, Let down by the afternoon tea. The sandwiches and cakes came as separate courses a bit different to other afternoon teas i have had. Good selection of sandwiches and liked the chorizo sausage roll as a change from a sandwich. The 'Cake' desserts were disappointing, i love a Victoria sponge however the cake itself was...

We had high hopes for a weekend at this hotel. The staff could not be more friendly and courteous. A small issue with our stunning room was attended to straight away. The hotel is really beautiful and the views are wonderful. The hotel is very convenient for boat trips and the local shops. One of the best hotel stays we...

First thing I would like to make clear in this review is how friendly & attentive the staff are here. Nothing is to much trouble for them & I think the receptionist who checked us in was just as pleased to give us a free upgrade as we were to receive it. The front of house team equally, they were...

Delay in posting this review because I have just realised that my original review in November 2016 did not load... Stayed two nights at the Belsfield Hotel, Bowness-On-Windermere in November 2016. Stunning hotel in a superb position overlooking Lake Windermere with fabulous uninterrupted views from the terrace across the extensive gardens. We were so very lucky to have glorious sunshine...

We stayed here over a weekend in August and had a very relaxing weekend. The hotel is located in this lovely hill overlooking the lake. (The only thing missing is a SPA to complement this relaxing setting) We booked the lake view room but I must admit that we felt that it was not very spacious but It's a nice...

We visited for the first time at the end of November 2016 to view the hotel as a potential wedding venue. The reception welcome was friendly and informative with a beautiful backdrop! We had been upgraded which we hadn't asked for, nor had we expected. When we arrived at our room we found a view of lake Windermere, a lovely...

I booked one of the suites for my wife and I, the picture showed a bedroom with separate living room. On entering the room we found it was all one room with a sofa, this felt more like a family room. The hotel did offer us a smaller room but not a suite. My feedback would be to show more...

My husband and I stayed here on 1/2 January 2017 for a treat as we didn't really celebrate New Year's Eve as I wasn't well enough. We have passed this hotel on many occasions and have always said we would like to stay here, we'll we managed it this time and weren't disappointed.
