Really lovely afternoon tea The savoury selection was more than just finger sandwiches and I really liked the chorizo sausage roll and hoummous on toasted brioche The restaurant had a lovely view out over lake Windermere and a great atmosphere. We loved it and will go again!

This is a beautiful hotel, this cannot be denied, however there were a few little things that could have been improved. Firstly, the hotel is easy to find, has a great location, views are superb, decoration is lovely, comfortable beds, great breakfast, very good bar. Bathroom in the lake view room was tiny, and I mean tiny. I am 6'1"...

An absolutely wonderful two nights at the The Belsfield for my 30th Birthday. We had a lake view room which was out of this world and were treated like royalty the whole time. The facilities and position of the hotel are second to none and the Laura Ashley decor is stunning. Can't recommend enough

Fabulous hotel which has been completely refurbished by Laura Ashley. Our room was a suite with both the bedroom and loung area having stunning lake views. A real wow!! Fantastic 2 day break at this iconic hotel. Lovely lake view room which was beautifully decorated and had lovely little touches like a coffee machine, bathrobes and slippers and even sweets. The super kingsize bed was soooo comfy! The bathroom was to die for with a roll top bath, massive shower with a rainfall shower head, underfloor heating, heated mirrors,...

This has to be the best hotel in Bowness. Location, rooms, staff & restaurant are simply the best! At the time of booking I mentioned that it was my husbands birthday and they pulled out all the stops, even a box of chocolates and a birthday card in the room on arrival. Totally unexpected! Our room was fabulous with a...

Gorgeous hotel which I visited for a Champagne Afternoon Tea only. The staff were really great, moving us over to a table by the window overlooking a magnificent view of Lake Windermere when one became free. They were friendly yet profressional, and attentive but not intrusive - top crew! The afternoon tea was delicious, we had a glass of champagne,...

The hotel is just lovely, can't fault the facilities or the decor. We had a lake view room, which was fantastic. The only thing that let the experience down was the breakfast. It was our first night away from our 9month old baby, so we decided to have a lie in and order breakfast for the room. We were so...

The Belsfield really has everything. It sits above Windermere with a fabulous view from the elegant dining room. The Victorian features which have made this hotel so special to our family for many years have still been retained and beautifully blended with the modern decor. The rooms are very comfortable, staff are attentive without being fussy and the menu choices...
