We had a great couple of days here, the breakfast had great ingredients, well cooked. I had the Cumbrian breakfast (great quality food), I also had the smoked salmon and scrambled egg on the second day, again really well cooked and delicious. The staff couldn't do enough, they were really helpful and friendly. The room was warm and well equipped,...

The breakfast (I think it is renowned) and should be for quality and choice. Another wonderful stay at Burn How to celebrate a birthday with family and friends. A warm welcome, comfortable rooms (ours had been stylishly refurbished to a very high standard), excellent breakfast and the best dining menu - locally sourced and deliciously executed. I cannot recommend strongly enough.

We normally stay in bigger, higher profile hotels but our visit to the Burn How was an excellent experience. This is a warm and comfortable hotel with first class food, extremely friendly staff, good sized bedrooms and is well located. We will definitely return and have no hesitation in giving it a 5 Star recommendation. Thank you to the owners...

I only stopped for one night but what I experienced was great customer service and even better food, the room where lovely the only problem being the floorboards. The hotel + restaurant is only a 2 minute would to the town centre. Where the day + night life is great fun ….. I will defiantly be staying here again

Having booked our Xmas break here, we were a little apprehensive following the dreadful weather experienced lately. However our stay was perfect. We booked two night in the "Mews" with breakfast and two evening meals. The rooms were spotlessly clean, spacious and after a few hours of walking, the bed was great to relax on and sleep. The breakfast was...
