If you want to explore Lake Windermere, then this is your perfect base. Comfy beds, clean & a great breakfast which sets you up nicely for the day. My son (age 10yrs) and I stayed in 3 of the rooms & my favourite was the Dalesway Room. The owners Janz & Robert are friendly, helpful & make you feel welcome....

We stayed here last week, on arrival we were welcomed by janz and showed to our attic room, we enjoyed our stay at Blenheim lodge to explore the lakes. However the steep hill leading to the lodge may prove difficult for some people, it may also be improved by extending breakfast time- currently 830-9am time slot, and WI-fi access.

When looking for B&B's for a three night stay in the Lakes, I placed emphasis on places that offered single rooms for my mother and her cousin (both in their 80's), and Blenheim Lodge was able to deliver. Speaking to Janz before making the reservation, we discussed the issue of access for two elderly people. Based in large part on...

We were hugely disappointed that this group did not continue their stay with us as they were smiley and the elderly folk were nice, and when they left, we even gave their party a lovely gift-wrapped box of handmade luxury chocolate truffles as a gift. When this person booked accommodation at Blenheim Lodge, I told him that our single rooms...

This was a last minute overnight stay for the May Bank Holiday. We booked late on the day prior to arriving and this wasn't a problem. We arrived early to make the most of the short stay and were welcomed with a friendly greeting and we were shown straight to our room which, although wasn't lake view, had a lovely...

My partner and I had a lovely restorative week at Blenheim Lodge. It is ideally situated for a stroll into Bowness for the evening meal (using the easy route if you don't want the steeper road back although that isn't a problem unless you are really feeble). Lovely views from the Lodge itself and from the Dalesway route nearby as...

It's in a good, quiet location and only 5-min walk from the convenient village center of Bowness. Got a cozy room with a great view, and as mentioned in the website, I did see a starry sky when laying on bed at night. Breakfast was great too. Janz provided much helpful recommendations on places to visit too. Look forward to...

My mum, boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at Blenheim Lodge. Originally, we were supposed to stay a few days but decided to prolong our stay, as it was so nice. Both Janz and Robert were very friendly and accommodating. There was also a large selection of breakfast choices available, all delicious and freshly prepared. The view of Lake...

I stayed for a weekend in April 2012. I found the owners to be very friendly and the accomodation clean with good facilities. There was a lovely view from my bedroom window. The breakfast was very good and they were more than happy to provide breakfast earlier than they planned so I could get away in good time. The location...
