Please do not pay attention to the good reviews they must be made up ! Please please listen to the bad reviews. The lady is not welcoming at all . Great value for a small but pleasant lodging house that is in such close proximity to the high street. Everything was fine in the room, it was clean and big enough. Breakfast portions were on small side , that was the only the downside. Came here for our honeymoon four years ago and was happy to be back here again.

We have been to Windermere a few times now and always use B&B's. First time in Elim House, from the outside it is a lovely looking place with a well kept front garden on entering it is very sweet; a little dated but that adds to it. We stayed in room 2 facing the back yard, the room was clean...

Good standard B&B sited in close proximity to the town and lake. A little dated in places but no major complaints. We were situated in the annexe to the rear of the property and the room was very quite. Bed was very comfortable and the shower room adequate. Breakfast was very good and more importantly hot. Full English available but...

We stayed with friends at this BnB back in July and it was a wonderful stay. Perfectly situated close to the centre of town but away from the noise of the roads and pedestrians . It severed a great breakfast and had Internet and good off road parking. The rooms were large and spacious. Also the lady running this business...

Stayed here for one night in July and it was brilliant. Clean room, comfy bed and great location. We booked here last minute and we can't believe how lucky we were with its proximity to the lake. Although the town is busy with tourists it has a lot going on. Breakfast was lovely. Would advise those driving to check in...

Having been to Windermere for many day trips in the past I'd never even seen this place before (it's down a side street on the main road), but my husband booked this for our 1 year wedding anniversary - what a good choice he made! Judith was waiting for us when we arrived (much earlier than check-in time) and let...

Elim House is one of those places that surprise you with their quiet beauty and character. The location is perfect, in a quiet alley off the main road to Lake Windermere, which is just a few minutes downhill walk from there. The bus between Bowness and Grasmere stops just one street ahead on the main road, so even if you...
