we stayed here on friday night, room 9, nice & clean, lovely breakfast & ideal location. the staff are really friendly , the bar was quite busy when we looked in & there was live music. Drinks are reasonably priced & you get a 10% discount if your a guest.

The hotel is old but this adds to its character. If you are looking for a quiet weekend away then the Stags Head is not for you. We had a party of 24 including 2 small children. The hotel couldnt have made us feel more welcome. They were helpful prior to our stay helping with

Came here coz I love a bit of karaoke... so me and my partner came here for 2 nights and stumbled upon this pub on a night out and went in for a bit of a song and dance. Nice pub and good atmosphere so I sang 3 songs couldn’t here myself sing for the love of money, but as soon a

Knowing that place it could be all night. A disco is on till 0200 and is really noisy. Do yourself and the family a favour and don't turn up. Find the car park first if you have to go and eat and drink elsewhere. It's tiered and not worthwhile going there.colin
I'm staying here on a Saturday night with wife and 2 children aged 7 and 4, although we we can't stay up late could someone tell what time children are allowed in the bar until? Dave
Don't think that there is a rule as long as they are well behaved and not screaming etc

The bar is an absolute joke! The nightclub was absolutely dead we were the only people in there and got kicked out as my friend took her shoes off! Absolute joke! Won't be going back there! The bouncers were looking for trouble
I'm sorry to hear that, we only had breakfast here as we are not drinkers, the only thing I can think of is that health and safety is paramount in this instance.

I was having my night out after work with my friends on 24th June when we decided to pop to Stags downstairs. The atmosphere was excellent, as ever, however this time something disturbing happened. I went to the bar downstairs on our arrival and wanted to order couple of drinks for my friends. As I approached the bar a petit, ponytailed black haired barmaid asked my what I was after. I said my order and then other of my friends joined as. I moved about 2 meters towards just to ask what did he want to drink which took me literally couple of seconds. When I turned back to the bar reaction of barmaid was at least shocking. She shouted at me never ever to leave the bar whilst ordering drinks. I tried to explain one more of my mates had just turned up, but then she interrupted me shouting even louder and pointing her finger straight to my face 'No, Listen! You have to stay here! ...etc...'. I've been frequent customer of Stags Heads for the last more than 10 years and nothing like that that had happened to me yet. Last week when we returned to the same bar with my other mate situation wasn't much better. We've been waiting on the bar to be serviced for about 20 minutes (!). People who came much after us were serviced whilst we were completely ignored. At this point big credit for not too tall barman with black short hair and beard. Only he turned up he serviced me instantly. Two other barmen turned out to be complete ignorant even thou I was trying to talk to them several times before the other, nice barman turned up. I'd like to ask a question if that is a usual routine of treating guests unpleasantly for some time? If yes, thank you for letting me know it, so me and my friends will choose other location for our following night out. Thank you.
Hi- I'm just a fellow guest who has left a review- I think you have emailed this to the wrong person! Thanks Lisa
