Stayed here only for one night, we booked it due to the price and the free parking. Lovely little room right at the top of the house with a nice hot shower. Couple of things to note.... When we arrived there were work men laying some concrete in the small car park so we were unable to park. But as...

We arrived for our 2 nights stay, owners were very friendly and polite, we were happy with the location to Windermere, free parking off road, beds comfy and room very clean, cooked breakfast lovely but quite small, ensuite bathroom seemed to be a bit of a cheap add in, shower not very powerful, windows in room did not stay open...

We stayed at Elim Lodge for our 3 night short break in the Lake District at the beginning of August. On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Karen who greeted us with a smile and showed us to our room, We stayed in the family room, No 4 at the top of the house. Our room was exceptionally...

Stayed here for 2 nights the other weekend with my partner and found it excellent Very friendly owners, clean room and very good facilities. The breakfast was superb and service very good. Just a few minutes walk to the town centre and a couple more to the lake. Will definitely stay here again when in Bowness. (Don't lend Karen (the...

Lovely stay. Karen was very welcoming and helpful. Lovely room with view over the lovely garden. The lovely breakfast was a great. The location was ideal, with the bonus of car parking, not easy in Bowness. A short walk to the centre of town, restaurants, bars, etc. Can certainly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We stayed at Elim Lodge at the end of our Dales Way walk. Owner Karen was pleasant and helpful. Our £80 ensuite room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. Elim Lodge has the feel of a traditional, no-nonsense guest house and, as such, was fine for our purposes.

This was my first visit to England and my first to the Lake District. Stayed at elim lodge in bowness for the night before moving on up into Scotland. Nice room and a good breakfast, it was nice and peaceful and we had a good nights sleep. Only problem was that the wifi kept going off.

For me this b&b was distinguished mainly by the unfriendliness of the landlady. She made me feel like an unwelcome guest in her house. She has rules and is brusque to the point of rudeness if you transgress. But my room was fine; large and tidy while the ensuite was not so good. Breakfast is pretty meagre compared to other places...

This person’s review is based on my reply to the post below as it is his friend. I am now waiting for his wife to write one as this is now becoming a personal attack on my business. You did not travel as a solo person but as a group of 3 people. I would like to know what rules...

I booked this for the three of us for our final night after walking the delightful Dales Way. This was our worst B&B en route. The couple who run the place are clearly tired of what they are doing. They were unhelpful and unfriendly - not a single smile! The accommodation Room 6 was small and tacky - peace and...

This person did not book the rooms like he says he did. The booking was made by a 3rd party who are a booking group for walkers. The 3rd party send an email to us asking if we have any rooms available on certain dates if we do then they send us the walker’s names for the rooms – we...
