We have stayed in many b&b's but The Old Vicarage is by far the best. As many previous guests have said this b&b is exceptional. We cannot think of any improvements that could be made. We stayed in the suite of Rooms which were pristine. We found the two separate bathrooms so helpful. Sandi & Bryan were excellent hosts and...

Sandi & Bryan are lovely hosts, felt so welcome upon our arrival and throughout our stay at the Old Vicarage. They really know the local area and were extremely helpful with their advice. Nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed before and this time we stayed for 3 nights. Room 5 was fabulous for the 4 of us, including...

We’re so glad you enjoy one of our suites at the top of the house; it was really lovely seeing you all again and how the boys have grown so tall since last time! You managed to get a couple of good walks in with Morthoe (though no seals this time) and the Lorna Doone countryside on Exmoor. Thanks for...

I love staying here. The welcome is warm and genuine, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable and breakfast is delicious. I visit Barnstaple regularly for courses at Mango Beads and The Old Vicarage is my absolute first choice for accommodation.

In its beautifully quiet location this was by far the most comfortable B&B we have ever stayed in, immaculately clean room, huge shower and delicious breakfast. Bryan and Sandi were perfect hosts. Thank you, we will be back soon! Paul and Wendy Mason

Thanks for the review Paul and Wendy. It was lovely to meet you both, and we admire your support for the bikers in Barnstaple; thank so much you for making the journey. You came across very well on our local news programme the next evening. Our apologies for a slow reply, but we have been away visiting the grandkids. Safe...

I was lucky enough to stay for the night on a flying visit to Barnstaple. My room was large, bright, clean and very comfortable and the shower room beautifully done out and really thoughtfully equipped. Sandy and Bryan were friendly, helpful and very welcoming. My breakfast was delicious. The only downside was that my stay only lasted one night. I...

I was visiting my dad, stayed in the hotel, I was on my own, they made me feel at home. I'm celiac, so I have to be careful with my diet. They catered for me. Thank you for the cake you left in the room every night, very nice touch. Look forward in staying with you again in the near future.

It was nice to meet you Kim and to give you somewhere to stay whilst visiting your Dad in Barnstaple. Thank you for writing a review; you are most welcome to the gluten free provisions and cake, though as Sandi was away (she usually makes the daily cake) it was my first gluten free cake. When you come again she...

It was a shame that you both had your Christmas spoiled, but it’s nice to know that we were able to help and you’re both most welcome. Hopefully we may see you again in the future when you’ll have time to explore and enjoy North Devon. Thanks so much for writing your review. Take care.

We stayed Tuesday - Thursday in order to visit my sister in Barnstaple. Bryan and Sandy were as brilliant as ever, welcoming us to their home. Delicious cake both afternoons and the usual excellent standard of breakfast each morning. If you need somewhere to stay in Barnstaple -look no further. Will be back in February

I spent one evening at The Old Vicarage. It is a very quick journey from Barnstaple station and easy to find. I was very warmly greeted by Sandy and Bryan. My room was so comfortable and homely. Delicious West Country cooked breakfast. I have booked to come back in January! Thank you.
