We stayed here for a short break mid week and found the location to be busy. It is on the opposite side of the road to the Passport office, which is sigposted off the main dual carriagway. The room was quite and clean and the restauant efficient and prompt. However the parking, as is so often the case lets it...

This is a very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby, and the secondary glazing in the room ensured we had a good night's sleep. My only real complaint was that the free wifi simply doesn't work.

Insist on an end of corridor room on the 2nd floor or higher to avoid noise. A room on an upper floor will also allow for ventilating stale odours from this tired hotel. Tesco Express provided an excellent dining alternative!

We have just spent two nights at this hotel and would highly recommend it. So convenient for city centre, two minutes from the market place. Staff so friendly and helpful. We needed twin beds so we're given a large family room. Nothing too much trouble for the reception staff. Breakfast for £8 00 was excellent. There are steps outside to get...

New hotel right on the edge of town. Rooms are the new format and the TV is brilliant. nice views over the river. Food is basic but fine.Feethams Car park is a bit of a walk away but cheaper than the actual one beside the hotel

Location and staff first class, room was very clean and comfortable, head hit the pillow and sound sleep, very handy for the nearby shops and restaurants, views of the river, and even without own transport very close to bus and rail stations

It is in a great location if you are wanting to check out Durham and the local area there is a car park at the rear which although isn't owned by Premier Inn is cheap enough. The hotel itself is less than a 10 minute walk from the square which then offers easy access to all the shops as well...

First of all I have to say I am a great fan of Premier Inn and you can't fault the quality and service - I'd never stay anywhere else however this wasn't my best experience. Unfortunately the 2nd floor room I had for 3 days backed on to a nightclub/ bar and on the first night the noise went on...
