My wife booked a caravan for a short weekend break and I was very cynical. However when we arrived I was proven very wrong. The caravan was more like a lodge and had 2 bedrooms and an ensuite which I didn't expect. It had plenty of space for the 3 of us and I think another few wouldn't have been...

I've just returned from a weekend visiting friends who are owners at Thurston, the park is lovely, most of the people are friendly. I have a few issues...firstly the bar supervisor " Karen"...is rude...unhelpful and not customer focused... Thinks it's more important to stock fill than serve customers who have been queuing for more than 10 mins... Then when she...

Arrived unexpectedly, however the staff were great and allocated us with a great pitch. The toilets and showers were clean and the best thing of all was that the shower kept running rather than every minute it stopping and you having to press it in again for more water! The cleaning area for dishes was excellent - even in February...

Positives - nice setting, a large caravan park. mostly lovely helpful staff but I think they were all over worked. Arrived 6.30 ish evening of 14/12/16 so by prior arrangement details of our reserved touring pitch were left on reception notice board. We found our pitch although signage in dark was impossible to see and very poorly lit. . Only other visitors near us was one caravan so it was nice and quiet but all downhill from here. Toilet/shower block...
