Had been here before with friends and even on a busy Bank Holiday we managed to get a table on the terrace. We both had the Steamer Seafood Chowder which comes with two hunks of lovely bread. Very quick service and the chowder was excellent. Lots of staff and the dog was treated to a bowl of water and a...

We eat here in the evenings as it was close to our B&B and it was recommended. The food was very nice and so much of it. I liked the sea food very much. It was very nice to have a meal over looking the sea and seeing some of the small boats and fishermen. Staff very helpful when ordering...

Call in for evening meal, no problem getting a table, staff very polite and helpful. meals reasonably price but beware they are massive as well as tasty. Food cam very quick after ordering but the restaurant was quite. The ice cream sundaes were worth waiting for but suggest 1 between two unless you are an ice cream freak. Good selection...

As a family we go out for lunch every Sunday around the Isle of Wight. Today we decided to go to the steamer on the esplanade in Shanklin. As we arrived , bumped into friends which was perfect. Unfortunately the woman behind the bar was very rude to my 11 year old boy who came to the bar to choose...

This is the second time our group of dads and lads has stayed here on our annual round island cycle ride. We came back as our first experience was so good, and we were equally impressed second time round. The staff are great, so friendly and helpful, the pub food very good, a great selection of local beers, and the...

Having had great service and wonderful meals here before we ended up going in for coffee after a wet walk from Sandown. We had a big smile welcome and our drinks were produced super fast with the little quality extras of a biscuit and good sugar. The boat decoration and general theme with the seafront location is a must to...

I Iiterally stumbled across The Steamer Inn whilst having to make late location changes to a half term wkend break. Thank Goodness I did. Having being a brand and food snob most of my life I pretty much had one of the best experiences ever at the Steamer Inn. Yes - the furniture in the rooms is dated BUT and...

Ate at the Seamer Inn on three nights during our recent stay in Old Shanklin Village. We found the staff very friendly and the service was excellent and although it was busy on each occasion we found a table quite easily. The food was excellent, hot and very generous portions. They also do small portions on some of the meals,...
