This B&B served its purpose for our short trip and I'm not saying I wouldn't return however it isn't the best B&B we've stayed at. Positives - Good location. Well placed for beach, town and train station. Parking available. Freshly cooked breakfast. Rooms well stocked e.g hairdryer, some toiletries, Tea/coffee. Very comfy bed. Not so positive - Decor and amenities... More

We stayed here for two nights. The room was small but fine for 2 nights, and the bed was comfortable which is important to us. The location is peaceful so there was no road noise during the night. The room was clean and had the added bonus of tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. There was a toilet and shower... More

Homely B&B just outside the main centre of Shanklin.Spotlessly clean and excellent breakfast. Was a little puzzled that the accommodation was fully booked after I had made my booking, but for three nights I was the only guest. Did get upgraded to a double room though.Found Graham, the owners, constant anecdotes a little trying and would have preferred a more discrete... More

We spent a weekend away on the Isle of Wight, staying at the Mount House. We found the accommodation charming and very comfortable. Graham was very helpful and gave us good advice on places to visit and recommendations for restaurants in and about Shanklin. The hotel is about 8 minutes walk from the centre of town and within easy reach... More

The owners were pleasant enough and the hotel is close to the town and sea front, but we don't feel it is a place for a young couple. There were nice touches in the room such as hot chocolate and complementary soaps laid on top of folded towels, however the room was cramped with hardly enough room to comfortably walk... More

I stayed here for three nights. I stayed in room 9, a single room. The room was fine, with a flat-screen television, en-suite bathroom with complimentary shower gel, shampoo and soap and a tea tray. I always think it is nice when this contains hot-chocolate as well as the usual tea and coffee - I think the hotel is in... More

I had booked a room for a few days as it said on the website that the owners cater for special diets. I have to say that we were well looked after: I had gluten-free bread and soya milk every day and my husband was catered for as a vegan. Sally, the owner and cook, took the time to find... More

We have just returned from this BB, it was nice and clean, our room was nice and clean but very small, you had no room to move, if you sat on the toliet you could wash using the basin, there was another bathroom to use if you wanted, the linen was very clean, graham and Sally were very nice, Sally... Second time I had stayed at this B&B for the IOW Festival. I knew what to expect and it still met my expectations. Sally and Graham are great hosts, very welcoming. Rooms are very clean with en-suites. Lovely breakfast served in the mornings, Sally will pretty much cook any combination you ask for off the menu. If we returned to... More
