It started so well. We pulled up to the hotel, right opposite the main promenade and walked through the rather grand entrance lobby. I arrived with a group of people and the lady behind the check in desk was very helpful in putting our bags safely away, since we arrived at 10am and check-in was 3pm. When we arrived back...

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast food had good variety, well-prepared and plentiful. Bar menu food was ok, except for the burgers which were excellent. The drinks were very good. Even though the hotel was completely full, and on a main street, it was quiet for sleeping.

This is our second stay at the Empress Hotel. The more we stay in it the more we love it. Excellent staff cannot do enough for you. Brilliant breakfast and evening meals also no complaints. Room service prompt and helpful. We have already booked up for next year 2017 and I cannot wait. Loved room 108.

My husband and friend stayed here for 3 nights during the TT races. The breakfast was one of the best they've had, the food was very fresh and hot it hadn't been sat around keeping warm. Because it was the busiest time he hotel was full but the staff were still very helpful and friendly. There wasn't much near by...

Third time here for TT races. Very expensive during TT fortnight but cheaper than some at £200 per night. Hotel is in a good spot but there are no parking facilities so expensive motorbikes are left curb side. We had a sea facing room which was very small. It's completely pot luck as we have had much larger rooms. All...

We always like a sea view room , which we have always had , you have to pay slightly more but well worth it for the view . There is a lift if required . The breakfast is lovely and staff are great . If weather is great we take our morning coffee outside , but please take your cups...

Just returned from our second stay at the The Empress for the TT races. Again staff very helpful - a lot of the staff have been there for years and cannot do enough for you. Atmosphere in the hotel is relaxed and low key which is one of the reasons why we book it. Just being able to sit outside...

Stayed here twice previously when working locally in Onchan and service and room were very good, both times I stayed with an employee. It was during one of these stays that I checked in with Reception and they had availability for much of the TT week and the price of £110 a night was to my mind reasonable, including breakfast....

Stayed here for 1 night during the TT for over £200 per night and we were given a really small room on 4th floor, overlooking the sea but the room has definitely seen better days. The wallpaper is coming away from the walls, the carpet is stained and frayed, furniture knocked and chipped, crack in the sink. Generally the bathroom...
