Cheapest hotel we could find on Douglas sea front, for a reason. To be fair it was clean & did what we wanted it for. Very handy for most stuff. We were on the top floor though & next to the lift which was shut off every night at 11pm. Not good if you are out for a drink or...

Seeing the architectural of all the hotels lining the seaside promenade makes for an enjoyable walk and at night the strings of lights hung above turn it into a fairyland. I booked Silvercraigs for the location and the reasonable price and I was happy with both. Altho my room was at the back with no view, I used the free...

The Silvercraigs in Douglas, IoM, is an amazing hotel situated on Douglas' coastal hotel row. Close to shopping, pubs and the ferry, as well as the Electric Railway and bus transportation, all you could need is easily within walking distance of the hotel. Stuart, the proprietor, takes very good care of his guests, with concern of their stay his top...

terrible, dirty smelly room.no.24. we had to have the mattress changed, we were horrified to see the sheet/cover, that came off, what we had been sleeping on, it was dirty, filthy, smelt, and was all stained with blood, excrement, and body fluid staines, the guy changing the bed, wrapped it up quickly, and threw it out of our room, so...

this hotel far exceeded our expectations after reading reviews on here. we arrived tired and ready for a shower. Stuart, the manager offered us a complimentary drink and showed us to our room. the rooms are quaint but perfectly functional, with tea, coffee making facilities, hairdryer and the most comfortable hotel bed i have ever slept in. The shower, although...

Due to a motor rally on the island rooms were in short supply and expensive (£150/pppn) When we contacted Silvercraigs in desperation, they were able to accomodate our request and for £125 total, yes £125 total....

If your expecting The Ritz, this isn't the place for you. It's a traditional b&b right on the sea front. Location wise it doesn't get much better. I found the staff helpful and polite, breakfast was great so no complaints at all I liked this hotel

If you want 5 star accommodation, then go and pay double the price of this lovely hotel. Yes it still has anaglypta on the walls and patterned carpets, but the rooms, linen and towels are immaculately clean. The beds where the comfiest i've ever slept on in a hotel. The front rooms have the most loveliest views overlooking the bay....
