Stayed here Saturday night. Spoke briefly to the owner over the phone a couple of days prior who kindly upgraded us to a front room after asking the occasion of the stay itself.
The room was fantastic, very clean and cosy.

Parked right in front of York Hotel, wasn’t long before we were greeted ....room was lovely and spacious....fridge, microwave and tea & coffee facilities.....first evening wandered down to the front and along to Cullercoats Bay ...couple of drinks in Browns Salt House then wandered back...More
St. James park is in Newcastle so you'd need to either take the metro or bus to get there. Taxi would be quite expensive. If your driving it'd be about a half hour drive from Whitley Bay.
