Really enjoyed our stay here....the owner are very friendly and helpful. Room had lots of amenities, and importantly was dog friendly. It is really close to the beach and has parking out the front. Wifi was fast and easy to use. Great breakfast too. We loved it.

An open armed welcome awaits you as you enter this super B&B Gerry and Margaret are typical geordie people, warm and friendly. The room was 5 star for everything (room 3) the shower is bliss. Come the morning you will feast on a superbly cooked breakfast. The location is great, quiet but central and with parking at the front door...

Me and my husband recently stayed at the Lighthouse Guesthouse for 2 nights and we absolutely loved it. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel really welcome by Jerry who showed us around and checked what time would be most suitable for breakfast. We booked the standard double room and it was perfect for what we needed....

We booked four rooms in the Lighthouse for a local family birthday. Margaret and Jerry looked after us all very well, including sorting out a nice table at the local Turkish restaurant for us all to meet with other members of the family. The guest house is well located, comfortable and provides a nice breakfast. Many thanks for your hospitality!

From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome. There was parking on the forecourt the room was really very nice, it was warm and comfortable tea and coffee t.v. a comfy bed and en-suite facilities, what more could we ask for. I have a thing about soft fluffy towels and the Lighthouse passed with flying colours. Breakfast...

Really enjoyed my overnight stay, welcomed by Margaret on arrival who kindly allowed my daughter to visit that afternoon. The only issue I had was that my toilet was along the corridor. Excellent breakfast & facilities, cosy room.

Thank you for your response, unfortunately the room you chose did state the WC was on the corridor, however we did have a room available with full en suite for an extra £5.00, this room was available when the booking was made Thank you again

Just had a three night stay, visiting family. Lovely place to stay, room was clean, nicely decorated, free Wi-Fi, Sky telly, everything worked, the shower was hot, the kettle, tv, the lamps, no dud's. Breakfast was seriously good, proper home cooking with plenty of choice, and again a very nice dining room. Margaret and Jerry, who run the guest house...

A very warm welcome for our stay and a super comfortable room with good facilities. We stayed 4 days, with my son arriving for the final day; his room also comfortable. Well located for our needs; 10 minutes to the Metro and a lot of restaurants and pubs close by. We could not have been looked after better and will...

The guesthouse is about halfway between the Metro station and the sea front. As you're walking from the Metro station to the guesthouse there are lots of shops, two supermarkets, and restaurants. The sea front is just at the end of the road. I was in room 2 which was clean and had a nice en suite bathroom with a...

You will be very well looked after by Margaret and Jerry who run the Lighthouse. A very friendly couple who offer a very warm welcome. It's beautifully clean and is ideally located; a stone's throw from the sea and less than 10 minutes walk from Whitley Bay Metro station, which has frequent services into Newcastle.
