Excellent stay with good food and friendly staff! Room was clean and the double glazing kept the noise of the seagulls out in the middle of the night but creaking floorboards took some getting used to, overhaul it was a very good stay and i will return again soon!

Love this hotel. We have been coming back for about 20 years. That must mean something. Because we were late booking we couldnt get a sea view room. The room we had was sufficient for us. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, plentiful hospitality tray. Food was plentiful and well cooked. Staff very helpful whenever we needed anything. Entertainment was varied. Just...

I agree with a most of the other reviews about the staff, very friendly and helpful but their enthusiasm is marred by the hotel which is very tired and lacks any character or sparkle. Car parking is as stated a bit of an issue as there are only about eight spaces, eleven if you count the selfish drivers who park...

Ilfracombe is still a quaint old seaside resort that doesnt appear to have changed since I was a child. The hotel we stayed in was exactly the same. Some would say it needs updating, but if you were to decorate to a modern standard you would take the quaintness away. Yes it does need a touch of decorating, but it...

We stayed here on a KM holiday. I rang before hand to ask for soya milk to be available. A helpful lady said it would be. It was put on my table every meal. We asked for an upgrade to a sea view on arrival and the manager quickly and arranged this for us. The hotel although a little dated...

I was a bit disappointed with Ilfracombe. Most of the houses near the centre are quite scruffy looking. Found the Verity statue the Damian Hirst made and has lent to the town he also lives there I believe. I found the interesting. We were on a Alfa coach 5 day holiday. Good service from them. Good job they took us...

Hotel was spotlessly clean, although somewhat dated. Our main gripe was the food and the dining room. It was in a large room with very little natural light which was dreary and depressing. The breakfasts were adequate but the main courses in the evenings left a lot to be desired. The food was very much pre prepared and appeared to...

Stayed in this hotel after a last-minute decision to go to Ilfracombe. The decor is very dated and in general it needs a revamp. However, the staff are very friendly, the hotel puts on regular entertainment nights, and everything is very clean.

This hotel is conveniently located in Ilfracombe right opposite the Tourist Information Centre, and the beach and main town. Its quite a large hotel, and easily bookable through the internet, with large rooms and disabled access. It seemed very popular with the older generation those that had retired. There was bingo in the evenings and local entertainers provide some low...
