Popped in here for a couple of drinks on one of those lovely English summer days where you just sit outside, taking in the view of the sea and watch the sun go down. The owners Sally and Steve are super friendly, and they keep a nice pint.

Gleaming. This place is on Ilfracombe Promenade (1-3) next to the Amusement Arcade facing the sea. Had a few beers outside with mates here recently and it was nice, big screen and Sky, friendly service. No Ilfracombe drunks about while we were there, which was nice. Used to be a proper dive for all the Combe bums but it's much...

We arrived in Ilfracombe on Friday and were greeted by miserable, unfriendly locals. We were ready to leave and go somewhere else until we found The (New) Boathouse! Steve and Sally are the most friendly and welcoming people. They can't do enough for you. We had a HUGE amount of fun there, dancing on Saturday night and karaoke on Sunday....

As the title suggests in our week in Ilfracombe we visited this lovely little pub almost every day. It is very clean and tidy with well priced alcohol (that kept my Dad happy) it also serves food which I can only describe as wonderful and well priced too. Pork baguette was brilliant and I think I'll be having that again...

Excellent Pub (not a Hotel) and highly recommended as a new local for respectable sports fans and drinkers. By all accounts this place used to be terrible but the new owners have magically turned it round. We had a drink outside and it was perfectly fine. The place has been refurbished and it's clean, comfy and respectable nowadays. New carpets...

We visited The Boat House in order to watch the football and have a bite to eat. We were in a group of 4 ranging from elderly to baby. I have to say that the service and welcome was lovely. We got a great seat and found the wheel chair access great. The staff were very pleasant and literally made...

If you build it they will come. No Wi-Fi, I believe, but I've been in there with my husband last week and it isn't bad at all, now, and probably excellent for locals and discerning holidaymakers in summer. Some of these reviews are weird but the mystery is "sol ved", as Clouseau would say, because the picture on here isn't...

Full marks; this place is at 1-3 The Promenade, Ilfracombe EX34 9BD , England (formerly Dedes Hotel) and near the Theatre , facing out to sea in a great location. I was pleased, because I am sick of townies and enthusiastic amateurs destroying and insulting our heritage, our old hostels and historic sites, because they think their money entitles them...

Walked past the restaurant during the day and thought it looked very inviting with its comfy looking sofas and traditional decor. As it was a Sunday and not many other restaurants were open, we decided to eat here. Walked into the restaurant to be greeted by a "waiter" wearing a football shirt, for my liking this is a bit too...
