As we entered we felt that we were being welcomed into the family, and this was maintained throughout our short stay. The hotel is well oplaced above the harbour with excelent outlook to sea. The room was comfortable and very clean, with no noise from the road outside. The breakfast was superb, with local sausages, bacon and eggs, a perfect...

Great hospitality, excellent food, lovely location. Stayed for a couple of nights, room spotlessly clean, very comfortable. Had chocolates and card left in room for our anniversary, lovely touch. I would recommend this guest house to anyone staying in ilfracombe

From the moment we arrived at the Collingdale for a long weekend we were highly impressed with their genuine hospitality and warmth. We chose a room with a sea view on the top floor and can recommend it (although there were several flights of stairs and no lift which might be a problem for some guests). The added touches in...

Step inside the Collingdale and be delighted with the ambience and the greeting from the effervescent host Sharon. It was very welcoming. We enjoyed our two nights stay and breakfast was good with an excellent variety to choose from. For us it was an easy walk down to the interesting quay area and to the coastal walks. Bob and Wendy

The Collingdale is a bit like the Tardis. . An unprepossing entrance leads towards a large enchanting drawing room overlooking the sea. There is a lovely breakfast room serving fresh local haddock with poached egg. Paintings by local artists adorn the walls and are on sale. You do need to able to cope with stairs.

We stayed at the Collingdale for four nights this month and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We had no trouble finding a parking space right outside the B&B. We were greeted very warmly and received lots of helpful suggestions for some interesting excursions. Our room was on the top floor. We had been made aware of this when we...

Just returned from a two night stay at The Collingdale Guest House. Sharon is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Bed was very comfy so slept well. Breakfast is superb. Lots of choice. Will definitely visit again and hopefully stay longer. We highly recommend a stay here.

Stayed recently for 4 nights was a last minute booking so had the only room left available, am single traveller and was pleased to have been allocated double room for single occupancy, however it was on the top floor so loads of stairs to reach it not good if you have a disability. Owners very friendly and accommodating, would stay...

We stayed for two nights at The Collingdale and had a wonderful time. Sharon and Daryl were fantastic hosts, the hotel was incredibly comfortable and had amazing views out to sea over the harbour. Breakfast was a cut above - the Full English was superb, as was the local smoked haddock which was available upon request. Can't recommend highly enough....
