Warm welcome and lovely room with big balcony overlooking the lovely gardens! Great selection of hot drinks available in the room. Had a great sleep in an extremely comfortable bed after a pleasant evening spent in Ilfracombe. The full English breakfast the following morning was absolutely fab and in a lovely room again overlooking the gardens. HIGHLY recommend

My partner and I spent a long weekend at the Woodlands and we loved it! It is a beautiful and very relaxing place, run by great people. We stayed in the top floor self contained apartment and the view was great. There is lot of space and the bed is super comfortable. The great bonus is that Caroline is one...

We booked for 2 nights, but ended up staying for 3. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts, Jon & Caroline. Cooked to order breakfasts are really top notch. Eggs Benedict, although not on the menu, were produced the next day! Overall, an extremely pleasant stay.

We had a lovely stay at The Woodlands during our holiday in north Devon. It was a delight to go back to our beautiful rooms (we stayed in three different ones) in the evening after a long day of sightseeing and exploring. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, clean, with beautiful views and had everything we needed plus more. The breakfast...

My wife and I married at the very popular Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe on 17th September 2016. We decided not to stay directly at the venue and instead booked 3 nights at The Woodlands, about 2 minutes up the road. The first thing to mention is that the couple who run the hotel are brilliant. They were incredibly friendly and...

We stayed here for a night at short notice when the weather forecast was too bad for camping! Jon and Caroline were very welcoming, cooked a great breakfast and were really helpful in suggesting days out locally. The rooms were very fresh and recently refurbished and the beds were extremely comfortable. The road is quiet and an easy 10-15 minute...

On arrival we were greeted by John who gave us a very warm welcoming. John took his time in explaining everything we needed to know during our stay and also provided us with a map showing us the walking directions into town. The room we chose had a view of the pretty garden. The room was very clean and a...
