3 of us stayed for the Etape cycle weekend in July and the comfort and welcome at Ashbrow Cottage made up for the very challenging cycle! Host Athol was very friendly and helpful, Dorothy made us a very welcome quiche for our late arrival! We did use the log fire after a wet and grey day and the cottage was...

Couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a long weekend with my family. 4 adults and 2 children had plenty of room! Stunning farmhouse kitchen with everything you could possibly need to make a meal. Immaculate throughout. Superb garden with beautiful patio set. Friendly welcoming owners, cottage is a credit to them. We will most definetly be back...

Our stay, unfortunately, was only short, and so we didn't cover a lot of ground, but the Information Folder...

Ashbrow Cottage is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed in! It is simply lovely, not only is the cottage beautiful and well looked after, but Atholl and Dorothy are really hospitable and welcoming. They treat you as if you are family. The views are spectacular. Even though there are places to visit and things to do, well within...

We booked Ashbrow to hold a family celebration, as it was close to where my mother grew up. It was perfect. We comfortably held a family dinner for 8 on the first night and had around a dozen guests (on top of the five of us who were staying there) on the following day. Atholl and Dorothy have furnished the...

Ashbrow Cottage felt like the sensible choice. The location and spec looked great but as we made the long journey north from Kent we had two very big reasons to feel slightly nervous - six year old Imogen and eight year old Leo, both sitting expectantly in the back seat with extremely high hopes. This was our first holiday away...

This cottage is ideal for country lovers. It has the most spectacular views. It is spotlessly clean and well equiped. The owners are delightful and always willing to help. You are within visiting range of both the North East attractions and the Lake District. Well worth a stay.
