Spent two nights here and was very impressed. All the staff were warm, friendly and professional. The bar serves an excellent pint and the food is first class. Over the course of 2 days we enjoyed a real steak and ale pie, incredible pheasant and partridge Ragu and and superb piece of slow cooked beef. All desserts were first rate....

We fancied a few days away, somewhere near Whitby - to visit that town, the villages thereabout and do a bit walking with our black Lab. We arrived in the dark, the rain, the wind and the cold, after a sort of tense 4hr journey.... and not knowing quite what to expect ! We were greeted with warmth, happiness and...

We visited here as a group of 25 walkers and have been back by popular demand for the last 6 years. Its is a great location for beautiful cycling/walks to this and other local pubs. It is part of the yorkshire inn way. Rosedale abbey is a beautiful little village. The food, beer and accomodation are lovely. The staff and hosts...

Visited the white horse for tea one gloomy and rainy Friday evening whilst staying in the village. We were greeted by really friendly and welcoming staff, and a lovely roaring fire. I had the grouse and pheasant ragu which was absolutely delicious and my partner had the lamb and apricot pie which was also lovely. The atmosphere at the White...

We have stayed at the White Horse Farm Hotel about a dozen times over the past nearly forty years. We have seen it pass through many owners, with many ups and downs, but we always look forward to going back. The building has a great feeling, and the location and views are fantastic. We enjoyed our stay this time, greatly...

Me and my wife recently stayed here for 2 nights with the In-laws, and after hearing how nice it is everytime they travel to rosedale, we wasn't disappointed. Rooms were very clean and homely, food was very hot and beautiful, and the service from James was impeccable. We will be 100% visiting here again after walking the moors and relaxing...

We always go to the White Horse Farm at some stage during our long breaks to Rosedale Abbey. The food is fairly good and the staff are very friendly. At some stage you can be insulted by one or the other owners who seen to have no idea of customer care and always puts you on your guard as you...

Just returned from a two night stay at this hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bedroom very nice. Cosy but a good size with beautiful views from the windows. The food was good and plenty of it! We didn't eat in the evening (looked very good and obviously popular) but had lunch and breakfast. Would certainly recommend and would happily...

We stopped here for lunch one day whilst staying in Rosedale. What a lovely place it was. The owners were so nice and the food was excellent! Just wish we had found it a bit earlier in the week. We had 3 children in our party and the owners went out there way to make all us feel welcome.
