Spent a single night whilst walking the Coast-2-Coast ... and what a wonderful stay! Michael picked me up from the Lion Inn at the arranged time (he helpfully suggested that I had a meal at the Lion - which saved me the effort of going out again:-) ) Note: there may be no mobile signal at Blakely Ridge, but the...

My dad and I stayed here during our coast to coast walk in July 2015. Michael picked us up at the Lion Inn and drove us down into Rosedale, where we were welcomed in by Mary. After showers and some rest, Michael drove us to a pub for dinner. The rooms were cosy and clean. Breakfast was very good, and...

Micheal and Mary are just amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and they want out of their way to be kind and caring. Michael came to pick us up from the pub which was a great service and Mary took our food order for breakfast and packed lunches. We were shown to a beautiful, clean and lovely room and given...

I stayed in this guest house 30th May 2015 during my coast to coast walk. The owners gave me the warmest of welcomes and nothing was too much for them to do. Their hospitality was outstanding. The guestrooms and facilities were warm, comfortable and of a high standard. Just what I needed after a long day of walking!

Michael picked us up at the Millennium Stone a few miles beyond the Lions Inn. Although there is very patchy reception on the Moor, I was able to use my mobile at the pub and on the road. Michael was there promptly and able to move all three of us with packs easily. After a shower and lashings of hot...

We ended our day at the Lion Pub and B&B and were picked up by Michael and transported to the August Guest House. For dinner Michael ran us down to the Coach House Inn at Rosedale Abby. Fine meal. Mary fixed a fantastic breakfast and then Michael ran us back up to the Lion and we continued our trek West....

So glad we found this gem of a bed and breakfast and was the ideal place to watch the riders on the Tour of Yorkshire go up Rosedale summit. From the minute we arrived we were treated very well, the coffee and tea with our lunch was really appreciated and anything else we asked for was there for us too,...

We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2014. A lovely place to stay, out of the way and beautiful location. Although out of town, it is close enough to Rosedale to make it an easy mission to enjoy the attractions of the area. Owners were very welcoming and friendly, fabulous fresh breakfasts, we would definately stay here again if...

As with other Coast to Coasters we were picked up from the Coast to Coast path by Mike and returned the next day (this is an extra cost over the regular tariff but it is a long way). Mike drove us to and picked us up from a local pub for dinner the night we stayed as well. The cottage...

My wife and I stayed here with two other couples as part of our Coast To Coast walk. The guest house (as with all accommodation in the area) is a long way from the coast to coast track. But this is not a problem, because having advised Michael of our need for a ride there when we booked, a quick...
