Looking for a pub that was open on New Year's Day we stumbled across the recently refurbished Crown Hotel and were glad we did. Lovely ambience, friendly staff and great live musician who provided atmosphere without drowning our conversation. Will certainly be going back.

There are car parks but you have to pay every two hours in the closest one and would have to move the car. Long stay car parks are available a little bit further away. I had filtered for free parking and this hotel had come up hence booking and was disappointed to find out it wasn't free. It looks like this I information may have changed now but it is all quite misleading. I think it was something like £2 for the two hours - I can't remember though.
