Having book a 'Suit' it was really only a large double room in my opinion. Parts of the hotel need repaired however the breakfast was the biggest let down. Went down at 09:00 breakfast arrived at 09:49, I appreciate they cooked it fresh but 49 minutes is shocking and it wasn't what I would call busy! To cap it off...

Good location and right on the beach, plenty on site parking too, the reception area, bar and dining rooms are lovely and a really nice quality. the twin room was like walking into an episode of the hotel inspector, all squashed in, in fact the door hit the bed as you opened it. really good breakfast and very nice staff.

Unfortunately we have to agree with Alan c's review. The experience was very, very disappointing. We stayed 2 nights to attend my sister's 80th birthday party. We enjoyed the lovely sea view - and were looking forward to a relaxing bath before bed but the surface had sharp ridges and was a positive danger. As the shower was over the...

Being from the area and returning to revisit old stopping grounds I thought we would stay in a hotel I remembered as being one of the best in the area. How things change!!!. On arrival the room was to be ready by 14:00 hrs that turned out to be 15:30. Not that bad really but that was the start. The...

We always have such a brilliant time when we stay here. If you are looking for a boutique hotel then that it is not. If you are looking for a place to stay with breath taking views, fabulously helpful staff and a child friendly reception - then this is it. The children always look forward to having a hot chocolate...

Stayed at the staincliffe one night while working nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful, the building itself and public areas are very well-appointed, however the room I was given could have done with a refurbishment, though it was clean and everything worked. My main issue was that there was some sort of extractor fan running outside my single-glazed window all...

As we were attending a wedding celebration and an overnight stay at this hotel we checked the reviews and feared the worst. we should not have been so worried. On arrival we were allocated a room on the front with an excellent sea view and although it was small it was clean and totally adequate including tea/coffee and flat screen...

We have just returned from my niece's wedding at the Staincliffe and it found the hotel friendly with wonderful staff and some amazing Art Deco features. Like most older hotels it may need a few things doing but the charm and friendliness make up for this. The room was bright, spacious and clean as well as having a great sea...
