Recently, I noticed a 2 for 1 sign on the Hillcarter Hotel which was promoting bar meals, so myself and the wife thought we would give it a try. How amazed where we when the food appeared and was real high quality food - none of the frozen stuff you expect in most 2 for 1 places. We have now...

Stayed at the Hillcarter in January for brothers function, great place, from staff through to room. He got the January deal for £150 and the buffet was very nice. Bar food was very good also. I'd highly recommend, and they are 2for1. Chefs curry, spot on.

We used this venue to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary and also renewed our wedding Vows. We used the Hillcarter Suite which was a perfect size to accommodate our party guests. The staff from day one at the time of booking right through to the time of departure were excellent. Because it was a special occasion we also stayed at...

We arrived expecting a fold up bed in a twin and were greeted with an upgrade to adjoining twins - for two nights - BRILLIANT!. Very friendly helpful staff and fresh, comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast OK - included in price. - Just a bit too short for us late risers. If I was forced to complain - it would...

We arrived at our Christmas Party night on Saturday and were greeted by a lovely young man who showed us to our table, (which may i add was set beautifully). Our first course arrived on time and the service staff were polite, helpful and very quick with each table. We were amazed at the amount of food, how quickly each...

Great rooms in an inexpensive hotel. The local bars and restaurants are top notch and a cut above the nearby roadway fare found in Middlesborough or Peterlee. The bar downstairs is a bit utilitarian but decent enough and the staff is friendly. Don't pass up breakfast on the rooftop with its spectacular views of the marina.

Went to the Hilcarter hotel yesterday for afternoon tea. We went in via the hotel and were shown to the bar area where we were greeted by a lovely waitress. She promptly brought over our tea and informed us that it was unlimited amounts. After a short wait she brought our afternoon tea and it was certainly wow. A various...

I recently purchased afternoon tea at kimmies coffee loung from group on believing we had got a good deal...however when turning up we found that it was actually the same price if we had walked in off the street! Unfortunately there were two tables of ladies already having afternoon tea so we had to sit in the lounge/bar area which...
