This was fabulous on arrival tea and cake. Rooms were lovely, breakfast brilliant everything was so thought out. It was great to be able to have a drink on the verandah or in the comfortable lounge before going out for an evening meal. Room was lovely, clean with comfortable beds. Everything had been thought of from bottled water to a well laid tea tray. The hosts were friendly and breakfast fantastic. Lovely guest lounge to use with glasses and corkscrew for your own wine if you fancied a drink before dinner in town.Would definitely recommend a few days relaxing at the Cartref.

We visited for one night. Rooms were lovely. They were helpful and friendly and went beyond our expectations, from little things like moving a chair out to make room for our travel cot to making a breakfast sandwich for one of us who was running late. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.

Our family visited Aberdovey at the weekend for a birthday celebration and were extremely delighted with the Cartref Guest House. The owners were very welcoming and the service excellent. The rooms are contemporary, comfortable, very clean and well equipped. We would definitely recommend it and plan to return. Thank you Linda and Mike!

I stayed 3 nights at the Cartref and was warmly welcomed by Linda and Michael who promoted a 'home from home' atmosphere. On my last day I had to leave at 7.0 a.m. to catch a train. Not only was a fine breakfast provided but Linda insisted in preparing a sandwich and Welsh Barm Brack for me to eat on...

We have limited experience of Guest Houses, usually tending to use Hotels but based on this experience we will definitely see them in s different light. This is a charming 100 year old house with a great deal of charm and character in the main rooms, but the bedrooms are modern with contemporary furnishings and decor giving you the best...

Arriving earlier than our check inn time, we received very warm welcome from Linda when we arrived with tea coffee and a tour of the establishment. Clean and comfortable rooms. Room 3 was our stay, very clean and a good size and the little extras hidden away until you need them. Linda & Mike make you feel at home straight...

A very warm welcome from Linda when we arrived with tea coffee and Mike's homemade cake. Clean and comfortable rooms. Maybe a bit on the small side but not a problem. Linda & Mike make you feel at home straight away and the atmosphere in the house is friendly. A nice lounge to sit in in the evening with wine...
