I recently visited the Britannia Inn for lunch, We arrived at 11:55 am and where quite promptly told they didn't open until 12 pm, making us wait outside for 5 minutes whilst everything seemed already set up. We sat on the balcony - the young female server treated up like an inconvenience - she lacked inter-personal and social skills. Food... More

Stopped for lunch on a beautiful day out in Aberdovey went straight to the Britannia inn as we had eat there several times before and had fabulous meals. I had fried goats cheese and salad and the hubby had roast beef, both meals were large, well presented and delicious as usual, hubby finished with a sticky toffee pub which looked... More

Stayed in room 3. Well maintained room with comfortable bed and walk in shower. A bit of noise at night but was expected from a town centre location so no problem. Excellent breakfast on restaurant outside balcony overlooking the bay. Also ate in same one night and was good quality bistro pub style food. Bar downstairs a good locals bar... More

We came here for an evening meal, Food ok had to wait a while for it, the guy behind the bar was a miserable sod....awful atmosphere! Won't visit again. Avoid if U can and try the other pubs they seem much chirpier! Too for the staff....smile a bit more 😀

A lovely room overlooking the harbour. The bathroom was excellent and looked recently refurbished and having a lovely shower, complimentary toiletries and loads of hot water. The bed could have been bigger, only a double and a king size is normally what you'd expect in any hotel, inn or b&b. Saying that it was a nice room, spacious and very... More

Half decent beer (banks), drab and uninteresting snug, food ok but didn't match the menu and so we had to ask for the missing ingredients. A general atmosphere of disinterest from staff. Off season so maybe they up their game in the summer months?

Had a great time over two nights. Great views of the sea from a lovely modern room. It rained but it adds to the effect when you are in a lovely location. Good breakfast and nice staff. I have great memories of Dovey and the memories will continue on the same route. Thanks to all.

This is an old building, with bedrooms up two flights of stairs and nowhere to put a lift. If not for that, and a couple of other minor points, I would have given it five stars. There are only three bedrooms; ours had lovely sideways views of the sea from the main room and the bathroom. Beds were very comfortable,... More
