My mother and five friends have just returned from a week at the hotel and can not praise the hotel enough. The entertainment, the staff friendliness & attentiveness, the cleanliness of the hotel, the prompt service - everything was to their liking; they can be a fussy bunch! My mother’s twin room was very small but completely spotless and perfectly adequate, but her friend had a rather huge room that was the envy of other guests! Pot luck, but definitely not complaining - they all had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back before Christmas. Huge thanks to Kay, Clare and Stacey for helping me organise. They’re still going on how great the entertainment was - certainly the cherry on the cake!

Just returned from the New Ocean Hotel
Had a fantastic time ,stayed Friday till Monday with free bar between 6 pm and 10 pm
Payed £20 each for return coach, which was a bargain
All organised by the Hotel
Food was really good ,all home cooked with plenty of choice.
Our room was spotless, clean fluffy towels every morning
Toiletries if needed which we didn't but a lovely gesture, Tea , coffee etc.
Staff were most courteous, couldn't do enough for you .
The free bar was fantastic ,barmaid worked extremely hard .
Friendly with a smile.Entertainment was good.
This Hotel is run by a loving family and it shows.
This is our 4 th visit and will definitely return.
Highly Recommend .
Thank You New Ocean Hotel .

Stayed at this hotel Monday to Friday. We were in a lovely room facing the seafront and had a balcony too. The rooms were spacious and clean.

We struggled big time with the WiFi. We couldn't get it in the bar or rooms and even in the bar area 4G was a big struggle due to signal issues. We did get 4G in our room but no WiFi available whilst here even when the hotel claimed free WiFi in bar area.

The bar could do with more choice of drinks if you like flavoured gin or flavoured vodka this isn't an option. The choice of drinks could be more updated to cater for all ages.

We stayed at this hotel whilst going through the Covid 19 pandemic and there is hand gel available in different parts and notices about distance. We were in the bar area but tables still seem so close to the bar so when people are getting drinks there is no way the social distancing is being adhered to.

We always seemed to be last served for evening meal (table18) so when we had finished our meal there was no tables available for evening drinking so we always ended up sat at a table on the dance floor. We also didn't get asked if we wanted tea or coffee during this meal like other holiday makers.

The hotel does offer free car parking but there isn't many car parking spaces. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the pier.

I would like to say Phil and Karl were really good and just great at what they do. Loved these two nights.

Bingo is also played in this hotel on an evening. Some evenings we got 1 game another evening we got 2.

A nice hotel and loved by so many. My review is honest and how I found it whilst I was on holiday here.

Paid 110 for a tiny room on the 4th floor.
The room is like something from the 70’s, the bathroom has an awful murky brown floor and very tiny, poor shower.
I felt depressed when I walked into the hotel, the staff are friendly but it’s just unappealing.
Breakfast was just cheap food, very poor.
I feel the price did not reflect the room in any way and has probably been hiked up in response to the demand.
On a positive note, the hotel is spotless.

We have just returned from another holiday at new ocean hotel and had a really lovely time yet again ! This was our 5th visit and we really love this hotel ! Its not a massive hotel it is a family run hotel with staff who have been there for years so it shows what a lovely place it is to be ! The hotel itself is excellently maintained and cleanliness is well above the standard of a lot of other hotels ! The staff are very friendly and attentive they all work so hard and they always seem happy . The food is excellent and HOT and delicious with an excellent choice they cater for vegetarians as well couldn't fault it ! Our room was spotlessly clean and soooooo comfortable ! The price this hotel charge is such excellent value for money and lots of guests return time after time . We cant believe that some guests complain about anything at the New Ocean any problems any guests have are dealt with efficiently and in friendly manner . The entertainment was as good as ever 4 out of 5 nights . We love Phil he is so funny and gets everyone involved. Cant wait to visit again next year. We would highly recommend this hotel.

I rated this as average due to the overdone frozen vegetables and hard roast potatoes, apart from the that the meals were nice with a good choice. Breakfast was buffet style which was served by a waiter with a good choice. The chef in the kitchen should wear a net over his long beard - not healthy. All the restaurant staff work very hard. Our twin bedroom, 116, was comfortable with enough drawers and 2 wardrobes. The curtains need adjusting as they are not secured on either end of the curtain rail so when you close them you have to stand on a chair to pull them back, they are quite heavy and the curtain rail came off the wall. We had to buy some gaffer tape as the window was so drafty it was like a gale blowing through when it was windy so had to tape all round it. The hotel is not too far from the pier and shopping center, there is a bus stop just up from the hotel. The entertainment was good, apart from the singer on Thursday night, found him to be inappropriate to women. Apart from these few problems we would return to this hotel

We spent a four night break at this hotel with our local social club. The room and all the hotel were spotless and all Covid rules were followed. It was Turkey and Tinsel time which made it all the more enjoyable in view of Christmas plans being uncertain at the moment. All the meals were delicious especially our Turkey dinner on 'Christmas Day' . A visit from Santa at breakfast was a nice surprise and he made a special visit to my granddaughter's room as she hadn't arrived at breakfast with her dad when he came!
We were well looked after in the bar as we were all inclusive and the entertainment was enjoyable even though we couldn't dance!
The weather was not the best but we did enjoy some trips out in the area. recommend this hotel .
Would definitely

The Ocean Hotel was chosen for our family celebrations/reunion, 18 of us stayed on the all inclusive package aged between 8-88. It's a quaint hotel which is spotlessly clean in all areas. The sea view room we had was very comfortable with plenty of storage space, a TV and tea making facilities and a hairdryer. The bathroom was spacious with a small shower cubicle. Lovely food with plenty of choice at mealtimes including a vegetarian menu and a hot and cold breakfast. The entertainment was great with bingo and singers on each evening.
What stands out most about this hotel is the staff, everyone is so happy, friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them and they were all so extremely helpful.

This hotel is alright for one night not for a full holiday, first of all staff we're lovely and service for good but it wasn't very organised and there wasn't enough seats to sit down and watch the entertainment or have a drink plus they were hoovering during the entertainment. Another thing was the food was old fashioned and this hotel definitely is for old people and if you are younger you will not enjoy this hotel as it seems they only care about the older guests. Plus there was no WiFi and they said there was WiFi in the bar which did not work. Don't go hereif you are younger as you will be ignored and will not be given the same treatment as the older guests. Its a perfect hotel for the older generation.

With all the bad news around at the moment my Husband and I decided to spend a weekend at our favourite and in my opinion, best Hotel in the South West. Rather than the doom and gloom which is on the television and in all the newspapers we had a fantastic time. We had a lovely sea facing room with a balcony which was warm and bright with all the comforts we have come to expect from the New Ocean Hotel. The staff are always so welcoming and cannot do enough for you. The meals served (breakfast and dinner) I think have improved on the last time, which were exceptional then but we seemed to have more choice and you could choose large or medium portions, which is a good idea.
Our room had just been decorated so it made us feel as if we were the first people to have stayed there. The bathroom was both large and spotlessly clean.
All in all this well looked after Hotel once again cheered us up for the time we spent there.
Well done

I'm sorry but we don't pick up in Wales. A lot of people come over by train or there are some Welsh coach companies which operate breakes to our hotel.
