A lovely weekend away with our big boisterous puppy. Our first time away with the pup and the staff made the experience much easier. Everyone was fantastic and very welcoming. The room was cosy and comfortable the food delicious and gorgeous views. Check out the library. We'll be back again soon with the dog. Thank you!
Dog friendly hotel room booked for 2 dogs .. which was small in respect of floor space to accommodated 2 dogs. Booked room with bath .. room had spa bath .. but early evening there was no hot water to have hot bath … which staff could not rectify?! Otherwise .. hotel decor bit tried, log fire in bar not on, which would have been lovely. Some staff very young and clearly not experienced but learning role from the more experienced staff who were lovely. On a positive .. food lovely 👍
I tried to keep in mind that the room was typical for hotels in the area but it was still lackluster. We had booked a glancing pod but instead were given keys to room 19 which is detached from the main house and may have been staff housing at one point in time. In comparing it to pictures of other rooms here, it is abysmal. It smelled like mildew, again, I tried to be understanding that we are lochside. The bathroom is tiny and I didn't want to put my dirty clothes on the floor. We also had two spiders in the bathroom. The room remained cold and felt like a trailer bedroom add-on. It felt oddly unprivate. We also booked a room with a full bed but were again given something different which was a room with two twins. The staff is super nice but I would absolutely not stay here again.…
I stayed at Loch Level Hotel with a group, traveling in a small Rabbie's tour. We only stayed one night, but it was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent, and the rooms were comfortable and quiet. After dinner, we spent some time in the bar, which was welcoming and well run. Though we didn't get to explore much, the grounds were well maintained, peaceful and in a beautiful setting along the river.
As part of a trip to Scotland in September this year, I pre-booked a twin room for one night at this hotel in February this year with booking.com. I was charged £155. I also booked a standard double room for our daughter and was charged £139.50. On arrival at the hotel on 9th September, my wife and I were shown to Room 20 in an annexe building, which meant leaving the hotel and going to a separate, single storey building at the back of the hotel. This room was a disgrace, and summed up all the problems hotel guests face substandard hotels. There was soiled towel hanging in the cupboard (left by a previous guest), there was no shelf in the bathroom for toiletries, the electric shower had a dirty hose and head so we did not use it, the room was hot on arrival as the radiator was switched on (to get rid of the damp?), the hot water in the basin took an age to arrive, there was no telephone in the room, the door closer to the room was very strong and it was difficult not to stop the door banging when we went in and out, there was no fan or air-conditioning, there was only one pillow on each bed, the sky-lights let in light, and access was round the back of the hotel that was scruffy. Surprisingly, we were able to get the hotel Wi-Fi! I immediately complained to the manager that we were not happy with the room, but was told there was no alternative room available. To compound the situation, we were seated for dinner in an an overflow area of the dining-room, and the meal we were served was mediocre. The manager di give us a free glass of wine each as compensation for the annexe room. So, if you book a room at the hotel DO NOT TAKE THE ANNEXE ROOMS (there are two of them). By the way, our daughter's room (a double) was very nice and comfortable!…
A five star stay. We had one night at Loch Leven hotel during our Scotland road trip. From the minute we arrived until we left the following day, they could not have been nicer or more helpful. Our room was comfortable with adjoining ensuite. It was exactly what we expected from a good boutique hotel. We opted to have dinner on site and even though menu was limited, we enjoyed our meal and the beautiful view across the Loch. The staff made our stay memorable, particularly “wee John”. I would definitely stay here again and make it a stepping off point to enjoy Fort William and Glencoe.
Traveling through and stopped at Loch Leven hotel for dinner. Charming place, good atmosphere and beautiful views. But the staff set it apart. We were there on a busy night and the staff worked hard to make sure every table had a great experience. John our server found a few minutes at the end of our meal to chat about our tour of Scotland and his US connections. We all left after a great dinner and a very welcoming experience. Highly recommend.
We stayed at the Loch Leven Hotel for one night due to a reservation mix-up at a B&B. We got the last room they had. For 215 GBPs, it was a terrible value for the cost. We were given a room not much larger than a closet. We had a double bed and an en-suite bathroom and not much else. The breakfast was adequate at best...nothing special. The only positives were that the room was quiet and there was free parking. I would never stay there again.
We stayed here over night on our way to Skye. Our room was spotless and well stocked with tea coffee and soap. Decking outside needs a paint however the view from our room was outstanding. We loved the distillery and bought the gin to take home. Leigh Ann was extremely attentive and had great knowledge of the area and history making our stay more interesting. Our breakfast was a little disappointing we couldn't get boilled egg and the porridge was on the cold side. Dinner however the overall experience was fantastic. My bed was like a cloud will be back.*****
The minute we arrived, it was so friendly. We went to the restaurant and bar and was served by Logan and Kai who where especially welcoming and friendly. Not only did they welcome me but interested me in the local mountains and Lochs. It was a brilliant trip and 100% would come back.
