Stayed there one night, but would have loved to stay longer. The castle is claimed to be 1000y old, but obviously redone many times since than. Even so the rooms, halls and entire atmosphere is great. Good service and friendly staff that gave great advice on local activities. Will come back

Very interesting place. Castle with 550 years history. Very recommend to every one. Super experience of local arhitecture and traditions! The location was great, the room was very comfortable, especially the beds!

Stayed here skiing a long time ago. Fantastic gem of a luxury hotel which is actually a castle. The Hollywood film star, Robert Redford, stayed here whilst filming 'Downhill Racer'. Si you're in exalted company. And check out the English 'Big Ben' pub while you're in Kitzbuhl. And do the Hannenkahm cable car too.

We had the choice of staying in three different hotels and chose this as it looked very different. It not only lived up to the pictures but surpassed our expectations. In a world of plastic hotels with every room the same this is not. Every room is different and the food is excellent and the service is always with a...

A fantasticly quirky castle with Tyrolean annex. Completely decorated in mis-matching furniture, paintings and ornaments that somehow don't look out of place. There have been some concerns that the place isn't clean enough, well it would be impossible to keep it very clean, but sheets and bathroom are fine. My only concern would be that our bedroom didn't have a...

A must if you want to experiance the great feeling of an old fortress. You could imagine yourself back it time. Each door to the individual rooms looks like the opening to an adventure. You must however remember that this is not a high tech hotel but a well looked after fortress with the best service. This will definately remain...

We had decided spontaneously to come here for a night since we wanted to be in Kitzbühel and could not find many other places to stay in the high season. The hotel does not have any stars, but due to the high price and the beautiful idea of staying in a castle, we thought that it must be worth it....

Literally a 6-7 Minute drive from Kitz. Nice old building with loads of character. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming during our stay. Our room was huge and loaded with warm character, exposed beams, rugs etc. We did not sample the restaurant as we went into town. The breakfast was in the adjoining annex and was very classy, all you...

This is such an odd little place that I certainly understand the mixed reviews. The castle itself is just adorable and very authentic. So many unique features and rooms to enjoy, but odd bits of junk lying around too. The room we had was a first floor suite with comfortable beds, clean and adequate size. The bathrooms are a bit...

I adore this hotel! Been three years in a row during ski season. I love the individual styled rooms and the the antiquity of the Schloss (15th century) is very charming. It is very close to Kitzbuhel so great for winter sport fans. The staff are very attentive and the restaurant has won plenty of awards. If you like historic,...
