Rooms are clean the staff are wonderful and the location is close to amenities. I have stayed here for work several times and you will be very hard pressed to find anything as comfortable in this price range. After my stay here I had to catch a flight back to Vancouver Island, which meant staying the night in Terrace BC in order to catch my early flight. I stayed at the Travel Lodge there, which was more than twice the price and there was no hot water, the TV didn't work and there was no taxi service to the airport. Once again the 28 Inn is well worth the price and a docent place to stay.

A inexpensive hotel on the way to Alaska. The rating is based on the location. It is the nicest one in the area. It needs cleaning, painting and does not offer a breakfast. The price is good considering it would be used for one night as a stop going north or south.

After a few sketchy roadhouses while driving south on the Alaska & Cassiar highways (not much choice available in mid-September!), I was excited by the opportunity to stay somewhere that wasn't a smelly, falling-apart dump. The 28 Inn met my needs perfectly. Reasonably priced ($65), clean, quiet, comfortable. Not much to say otherwise. The motel is basic with service to match, but overall, it's a good value, and I would stay there again.

The 28 Inn in Hazelton is a nice clean basic motel. It has a pub and a liquor store attached. The rooms are clean with a fridge in the room I was in. Bathroom very clean, nice hot water.
The rooms on the backside are quieter than the front side. Friendly couple and their family operate the motel.

We stayed at the 28 Inn for 4 days. This is an older motel, but it is very clean. The front desk staff were very helpful. The location was perfect for us. There is a pub attached to the motel, but we didn't visit it. The motel was very quiet, which appealed to us. It also had a kitchenette in the room,

My stay was for a week in early January 2017. It was quite cold when I arrived and the hotel was not busy, but the manager had turned the heat up in my room that morning to be sure it would be comfortable for my stay. I had a room with a kitchenette that had a 2 burner stove, microwave and full size fridge. The only thing I would have liked is for cookware to be something newer (the non-stick pans were peeling), but I found one across the road for under $20. There was only one restaurant open in the New Hazelton area the first 2 nights I was there, but there is a grocery (MacDonalds) just up the road where I was able to find items to cook a decent meal. There is a very well stocked wine/liquor store attached to the hotel.

Wifi was really good and high speed considering the area, which was a pleasant surprise.

This is the motel that the local clients I work with always recommend and I think it is for a good reason. I will stay here again when I am in the area.

I have stayed at 28 inn for nearly a year when not in camp. I was asked to change from my normal room to another one as i was told that my normal rm was booked. I stayed in new rm and was laying on the bed watching tv all my bags were open on the other bed. I felt something on my neck. Brushed it off and seen what it was. I picked it up with a tissue and looked at it closely. I instantly jumped up and called the manager. I googled and sure enough it was a Bedbug!!!! Manager came to the rm and i showed her. We tore the bed apart and found another one hidden in the mattress. She picked it up and squashed it and it was full of blood. I asked to be moved immediately and also have all of my clothes washed in the hotels machines to ensure no bedbugs had crawled into my open bags. The best she would do was move me into another rm. i asked again to have all my clothes washed in the hotel because i was worried that with my bags being left open that maybe bugs had got into my clothing. I was creeped out. I was told that the hotel machines were not for use by guests. I explained my concern stating that i did not want to put my bags and clothes into another room or my veh and have it contaminated also. She didnt care. She said that she couldent make exceptions. Why not? She is the owner!!! Her hotel rm contaminated my stuff. The only thing she would do was change rooms for me. I went to the front desk and was able to get garbage bags . I put ALL my clothes and jacket in garbage bags and sealed them tight. I had to take my bags to laundrymat and wash and dry everything bags included. Cost me $37. Thanks 28 inn for the worst customer service ever. I will sleep in my vehicle before i ever risk staying in your unclean hotel ever again. The worst service ever from the owner.

We arrived very late after a stressful drive of 800 miles in a day. Front desk service (assuming owner) got out of bed and was so accommodating, friendly and full of smiles I could've hugged her. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Very reasonably priced. I would love to stay again and explore the town again. Beautiful view of the mountains also!

I stayed the night there and was denied my $100 deposit upon checkout. When I asked WHY, Sue (the owner) then stated she entered my room WHILE I WAS SLEEPING and inspected and found the freezer in the room broken. I did not use the fridge unit during my stay and I felt so VIOLATED that she came in while I was sleeping!!!

ISNT THAT AGAINST THE LAW???! IM NEVER STAYING THERE AGAIN AND WOULD SERIOUSLY RECCOMEND ANY OTHER HOTEL BESIDES THIS ONE!!
