Detailed Reviews
I was a little hesitant when I pulled in, as there seemed to be a "gathering" in the parking lot, so I was thinking that it may be party central at the Bulkley Valley. However, by 11pm it was very quiet, and I had a good night sleep. A bit dated, but spotlessly clean and rooms have A/C. Stayed for a week while on business. Next door to the grocery store, and just 1 block to Rob's Restaurant (of course, New Hazelton is not that big anyway). A bit pricey, but seems to be the standard cost along Highway 16.

It is close to all amenities, across the parking lot is a restaurant and a couple steps away is a grocery store. The rooms are clean and quiet but the atmosphere is like visiting your close friends. The owners Howard and Lian are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. I would highly recommend a stay at this motel if you are travelling through the north.

Very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Stay for one night traveling through to Alaska with small children. Walking distance to the school where there was a playground for the kids to release some energy .

Good-sized room with a large desk, wifi, coffeemaker, fridge, tub. We had the end room on the first floor. There are supposed to be 4 places to eat all within walking distance...appeared that on a Monday, on the BC Eagle (right next door, Chinese food) was open.

Stayed here for one night on way to Prince Rupert, and spent a day visiting the area. The motel is older and the outside stairs and walkways definitely need some upgrading but the rooms are updated, clean and cozy. The owner is most friendly and accommodating.
The motel is central to many interesting places, historic, first nations, and outdoor recreation and really worth a visit.

I'm giving this top ratings not because it's a four-star hotel, but because the owner does everything he can to make your stay a good one. The room is clean and comfortable; the furniture seems new. I needed ice but they don't have an ice machine, so the owner went next door and bought a bag of ice! He's also full of great tips on what to do and see in the area. If you're passing by on the Yellowhead Highway, you can't go wrong with a stop here.

We stayed for one night on our way to Barkerville and it was fine. The owners are really kind and the price is okay. From the outside, it looks a bit washed. However, the inside is okay. It is dark, but perfectly clean. There's no airconditioning by the way! They do have free wifi.

Thank you for your pleasant review. We have air conditioning in every room, the remote to control the units is on the unit which is located straight ahead when you enter the room. If you prefer you may control it manually. These air conditioning units were installed new about 2 years ago. I am sorry you missed seeing them.
