Detailed Reviews
My wife and I spent a weekend at Skeena meadows this fall. We participated in a great pheasant hunt with good gun dogs, it was the highlight of the visit.
The accommodations was of a high standard and situated in a very scenic setting on the banks of Skeena River.

With two kids 9 and 7 we had a great three days.
daughters quote was would go back there rather than Disneyland. Saw bears, coyotes and plenty of eagles, not to mention the fish of which was the family's first time and my second (first in Charlottes). This is land based with plenty to do in or out of river as the atv's give great access to property. Food and accommodation are great and easy to do. Between chopping wood, fishing and exploring the kids did not ask nor want electronics. as for the adults a super and comfortable outdoor trip with great hosting.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, this is a must try experience. There are just so many things to do! Some background. I have enjoyed many an outdoor recreational facility in B.C. for 50 years - this includes going to the Queen Charlotte's for the last 25 and many other "lodges". For less dollars I find myself having far more enjoyment. And I can bring my wife who won't be bored bouncing up and down in the raw Pacific. At Skeena Meadows what do you feel like doing that day? Fishing for world class steelhead; salmon in the river; taking a belly boat and chasing some trout; walking behind pointing labs to enjoy some pheasant; shooting some clay pigeons; hikes in some of the most pristine country imaginable; or kicking back in a wood fired hot tub watching eagles and the odd bear. This place has it all. The food is great and I feel relaxed during and after the trip. Definitely coming back and recommending this to our friends.

A vacation spot with a difference! We loved relaxing on the deck of our luxury tent watching golden and bald eagles and bears scavenging for fish and flocks of sand cranes and geese flying overhead. We walked, or drove our ATV, over the extensive acres of property
to salmon spawning grounds and lush gardens. We took a trip to the old growth forest where we found remnants of past history and we visited nearby towns where you can visit art galleries and museums. We thoroughly enjoyed dinners with interesting people in the warm, cozy clubhouse when we weren’t relishing chef delivered dinners in our tent. Karen and Martin and their terrific staff are extremely accommodating and were quite eager to ensure our stay was a memorable one. We loved our vacation at Skeena Meadows and have recommended it
highly to our family and friends.

My wife and I just got back from a trip to Skeena Meadows. This is the only Trip Advisor review we have ever made. We stayed in deluxe Weather Haven tents, don’t let the word tent fool you they are really great accommodation on one of the best steelhead and salmon rivers in the world. We were given a fun to drive side by side Polaris ATV to use for the duration of our trip. Pheasant hunting was superb with strong, great flying mature birds, the pointing labs are a joy to watch and shoot over. Without a doubt the best pheasant shoot we have ever experienced. The food and hospitality are exceptional and we heartily give Skeena Meadows our highest recommendation.

This resort is extraordinary, everything is geared toward escaping your everyday life. If you choose to relax, you can sit on your deck next to the Skeena river, with a glass of wine and a million dollar vista. Looking for fun the world class Steelhead and Salmon are steps away from your door. Want more, take a easy walk through golden fields with knowledgeable guides, skilled hunting dogs and plentiful pheasants. Like any 5 star resort, at the end of the day you are treated to the best food and drink. I have visited lots of resorts where you can fish or shoot, but this is the only place where they bring both together and throw in great food, great people and a casual pace for free. Everyone will find Skeena Medows a get away they will remember for a lifetime.
