Rooms are very clean, but small. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is good. The beach is 3 minutes from the hotel but the the way to the beach is very dirty. The place for parking is not enough.
The restaurant by the sea has a very panoramic view but the prices too high for the quality.

It is definitely one of the very few good hotels in the area. I honestly don't think it is a 5 star hotel (probably no hotel in the area can be a 5-star hotel but that's another topic). It is a very good deal to visit it before the high peak season because of its cheaper prices. Nice rooms which were very clean, great staff, nice breakfast (I would like to compliment the chef who bakes the muffins or the cake for breakfast, they were simply amazing). Drawbacks: Not enough parking space and the road to the beach on foot sucks 🙈

I stayed 2 nights in September 2020 and was expecting so much more. From the outside and at the first glimpse the hotel looks very nice, but unfortunately they have no idea what running it means.

First, the road to reach the hotel is awful, you need 4x4 if you don't want to damage your car. I can't understand why they don't repair the holes, there's a fancy expensive hotel further down the road and none of them cares!

Second, the garage is awful, leaking water, not enough space for all the guests. You can also park outside on the main street or right in front of the main hotel entrance as some of the big cars do (and with that make it difficult for guests to enter on feet, especially if you have all your beach luggage with you and kids - but again, the hotel doesn't care about that).

Third, the room was OK, nice view, nice balcony, comfortable mattress and pillows, night lamps that are so rare in Albania (nobody reads anymore before bedtime?). On the other hand, there's no free bottle of water (at least the welcoming one if not offered every day), no tea/coffee maker. In the bathroom, there was a hairdryer, towels, slippers, soap and shower gel. No amenity kits.

Fourth, the first day while I was having my breakfast, somebody entered my room, took a can of Coke, drank it and has thrown the can in the garbage bin. It was not the cleaning stuff since the room was not tidened (or?). When I reported that, the hotel stuff was replying with: but nothing is missing, right? It wasn't, but that's not a point. They didn't understand why I'm upset and kind of promised me they'll check the security cameras. I honestly think they couldn't check that since it's questionable whether the security system is even working. In the end, they told me none the cleaning girls entered and they had no idea what happened. 'But nothing is missing, right?'

Last, having this bad experience I expected the hotel would offer me a compensation, a free coffee at least. No, in the end, they charged me full prices, even a coffee and water I ordered by the bar, and on the top, paying by card, there's 2 % extra.

I'll definitely won't enter that hotel anymore and I don't recommend so to anybody. But again, I think they just don't care...

We booked to stay at Splendor for 6 nights in July but we left 2 days earlier as the hotel was such a big disappointment from start to end. When we arrived we had to wait 3hrs for the room to be ready, we were tired of the journey and the staff was not welcoming or accommodating at all. We just had to sit and wait in the heat with a small baby. They never apologised for the delay or anything. The breakfast was veryyyyy poor, just cheese,, eggs thrown in one big pile together, if you wanted fresh juice or coffee you had to pay or you had to drink the disgusting juice they offered. Even a 3star hotel has more choice and fresh food. Not to mention the flies around the food. The biggest disappointment though was the staff: rude, unfriendly, no etiquette, they could not even fake a good morning.
When we told them we were leaving earlier they didn’t bother to ask why or if we enjoyed our stay.
Please don’t be fooled by the pictures of the beautiful beaches, you can find that anywhere in Albania. But Splendor is definitely not worth the money and not anywhere near a 5 star hotel!

We stayed here for three nights. It’s a 3 star hotel at best. The rooms are tiny with scant amenities. Lucky we brought our own toiletries.
The lobby is humble and the sub par breakfast buffet was lacking to the point where guests were battling for the last pieces of cheese. For some reason they kept it stocked at a quarter of the level it needed to be with lots of empty platters. There was also a lack of utensils glasses beverages etc.

I think the owners live there because while we were trying to get the last morsels of food for breakfast, there were so many kids opening cupboards and handling bread with their hands. These same kids roamed the place running up and down hallways by themselves. This happened the entirety of our stay. It was like visiting a day care.

The road to the beach was rocky and dangerous for bare slippered toes. It’s not close by. It’s down a gravel road.

The beach bar was pretty and the food there was good but the constant thumping of techno music blasting in our ears got super annoying.
We stayed at the beach which was nice but when the swimming ended we were faced with the reality of going back to the day care hotel.

During the last day, they never gave me a close out bill. They had a random stack of unitemized receipts that was my food bills for our stay. The receptionist said upon tallying they bill, “It looks like the computer says you owe $20 more but there is no receipt.” Can you pay it? I was in a hurry and our bus was leaving- I paid it so he didn’t have to take 15 more minutes to figure it out. As I was leaving I thought about how comical this 5 star hotel was.

If given a choice, I’d stay down the road at the Dhermi promenade because this place was certainly no Splendor hotel.

This hotel is overpriced
There were many malfunctioning items in the room (mosquitos net, curtains, bathroom door, glass rail in the balcony).
The sofa bed is not a proper bed
They did not register the kids as guest of the hotel. The shower has no light and no hot water.
Most of all we found, bugs in the bed sheets!!!
Moreover the manager of the hotel was very rude.
Is expected that if you ask for a lot of money you have to invest them in the maintenance of the rooms and provide an hospitality that is at least at the average standard in terms of safety and cleaning. This hotel is far below the 5 star rate.

The hotel was a huge disappointment. It’s nowhere near 5 stars, which wouldn’t be a problem if they were at least minimally cordial and if the hotel at least tried to minimize its many flaws. Zero customer service!

We are three people in the room: me, my husband, and our 18-year-old son. It was impossible to get a towel, duvet, key, and sun lounger for the third person. Everything in the hotel requires us to ask numerous times, and the answer is always no. Unprepared staff, no management whatsoever.

There is no restaurant operating within the hotel, and the bar isn’t prepared to have any white wine, even in high season. No possible snacks at the pool, and the breakfast is of very low quality.

The street to the beach is filthy!

I work in tourism and have three groups planned for next summer in Albania; this hotel will never be a business option, and I will speak badly about it to everyone I know.

The hotel is expensive and deserves no stars at all.

To top it off, the hotel keeps a lonely little bird in a tiny cage, which is truly absurd. We are in 2024, in a country with exuberant nature, and they think they have the right to keep an animal in such poor conditions. In the reviews, I read that an employee killed a cat in front of a guest. My intention is to put a lot of energy into boycotting this cursed place.

The worst experience I've ever had From the beginning, when we wanted to book the rooms, the staff didn't answer and didn't even hang up on us. When we arrived at the hotel, the rooms we had booked were no longer available. I got the room with a view of the mountain even though we had booked it with views of the sea. We discussed it for about 20 minutes after the receptionist claimed to pay more as the exchange rate of the euro had fallen. It doesn't end there; there was no hot water in the shower room, and the lady of the staff laughed at our complaint and said no, it is not a big problem. They kept the garage closed, and our car was in the sun because they claimed that they had no vacant seats. The worst thing is that there were empty beer bottles under our bed.
