A last minute decision to stay here because it was connected to the Marriott BonVoy program. Due to an accident on the Coq hwy that blocked all traffic so I booked here for the night. When I checked in I was told I was being upgraded to a balcony room facing the lake. Service at the front desk was good
In the room I found that the balcony room was just OK and the balcony had a little bit of a view but mostly of the golf course and the large hotel behind this hotel. The balcony was small and feels like an add on feature to the hotel. Did not seem secure. definitely not a private balcony,
The room could have been cleaner - seems like only the basics are getting done - Guess the housekeeping supervisors do not do any inspections of their staff
Overall a basic room and a place to sleep for the night
I would stay here again because of the Marriott program only and the price was right.

We stayed three nights over Thanksgiving weekend. We had booked an accessible room. They had the best equipped accessible shower we have ever seen! The shower floor was truly roll-in. It had both a standard wall mounted and a hand-held shower head. Each shower head had its own controls. There was a double fold-down seat in the shower. There were grab bars in the shower as well as beside & behind the toilet.
Be prepared that room service is provided only every second day, which I had seen when making the reservation. On the alternate day, we requested that our garbage be emptied, It was eventually emptied (sometime after 2 PM) after our third request.
The hotel was full, so the breakfast room was busy, but there was always at least one table available. The staff stayed on top of restocking food and wiping tables.
There were some minor things that show this is not a new building (such as a sticky bathroom door and a slightly finicky heating system), but all in all we had a pleasant stay.

This Fairfield Inn (part of the Marriott brand) used to be a Best Western. It appears that some areas have been renovated in the transition, but the room we were in definitely had not, and it felt tired and a bit dingy. We were upgraded to a larger room as Bonvoy members, but in hindsight wish we hadn't accepted the upgrade. It was 40 degrees outside the two days we were there, and the air conditioning couldn't keep up with the size of the room, so we ended up keeping the blinds closed all the time to keep the sun out and being pretty uncomfortably warm regardless.
The breakfast included lots of hot and cold food options, though there was not water available and we ended up going to the small lobby water cooler to fill plastic cups from that. The food quality was decent.
The Fairfield is centrally located, right of Hwy 97 with lots of eatery options nearby. It's a decent price for Kelowna in the middle of summer. There is free parking. You get Bonvoy points. Breakfast is included. So it's got its good points, but it's not likely to be a future choice of ours until all the rooms get renovated.

We stayed at this hotel a couple of months ago and were assigned a room with ticks crawling on the sofa and the nearby floor. My wife felt something crawling on her while sitting on the sofa, and it turned out to be a tick. We found two ticks in the room and reported this to the staff. Our trip was ruined as we had to inspect all our luggage and do laundry to ensure we didn't bring ticks home. The manager was indifferent and dismissed the issue.
The hotel was generally unclean, with litter in the hallways and a dirty pool. We also found a broken light in the hot tub, which we reported to the staff to prevent electrocution. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and we will never stay at a Fairfield Inn again, especially at this West Kelowna location.

Room itself was fine (bed was comfortable) but the bathroom was so dirty I could not recommend to anyone or stay again. Sink wouldn’t drain. Crusty streaks down the bathroom tile. Grunge caked into the bottom of the doors. We’ve stayed at Marriotts before but never a Fairfield Inn so maybe that’s the difference? We were just staying the one night before moving on (thankfully). Front desk staff were lovely. System was down during our stay but they still billed the correct credit card and put our points on the correct Marriott card so happy about that. I did provide the same feedback to the hotel after our stay and management said they appreciated the feedback and would let housekeeping know. But I wasn’t able to share pictures and I will let those speak for themselves. Personally, I cannot believe we weren’t offered some sort of credit or incentive or even a direct follow up call after paying $350/night.

We had a terrible experience with hotel management. We were in town to watch our son’s CSSHL hockey tournament. Our son was staying at the downtown Kelowna Fairfield Inn and Suites. We accidentally booked the West Kelowna hotel and hotel management would not allow us to change or cancel our reservation without charging us a $250 fee. Unfortunately, now we are stuck staying at a different hotel than our son. Very little understanding or compassion from hotel management.

Horrible experience. Reserved 3 months ago with a hockey team. Requested a one hour early check in (2:00pm vs 3:00pm) and the girl on the phone said “not a problem” turns out when we showed up at 2:00pm it was a problem. Front desk was rude. Room wasn’t ready. So after travelling 4 hours, we sat in the lobby for an hour with our 5&8 year old.

Only stayed for 1 night on our way from Vancover to Banff. Huge rooms, comfy beds. We had a small bath in our room which was great from our toddler. Plenty of food options in walking distance (irish pub or fast food) if you just want a quick bite. Continental breakfast was included, and did the job to get you ready for the day. (Bagels, waffles, cereals, egg) Lots of free parking. Perfect for a stopover or a couple of days if exploring Kelowna.

Recently changed from Best Western to Fairfield Inn. We had not been advised by Best Western of the change of ownership. The gentleman at the reception assured us that our reservation and rate were confirmed and that everything was fine. What a relief! We had arrived early and inquired if it was possibly to check in early. He immediately contacted housekeeping to see if this was possible and after after a few minutes checked us in. The friendly efficient service was greatly appreciated, thank you " Trey". In any hotel customer service tells you of the standards set by management. The rooms were new and excellent along with a full breakfast to start the day. It was nice to visit a hotel that has breakfast hours from 7am until 10 am when all the hotels seem to be cutting the breakfast hours. A great stay and would recommend this hotel!

Thanks goodness for West Kelowna! On driving through Kelowna on that awful, dead straight highway with traffic lights every 2mins, we were dreading where we would end up. Thankfully, Fairfield was set in a lovely spot, away from all the busy malls and tucked under some hills that were great for exploring. Firstly, we parked right outside (free!), the reception staff were friendly and gave great advice for wine tasting at the very local Mission Hill which we could walk to and stagger back (about 30-45 mins)! The room was very comfortable and we were treated to a lovely complementary breakfast. We were able to do a local hike at Goat Mountain, although we didn't see any goats, but the views of the lake were tremendous.
