Detailed Reviews
I loved the location of this unique B&B. What a prime spot. And what a character home! From the beautiful cottage/french provincial style furniture to the beautiful finishings and the vaulted ceilings! We stayed in the Lakeview Room and it overlooked the Okanogan, the mountains, and the city! Nicole and her hubby were very accommodating too. There is a small nook/den outside our room with a small modestly stocked fridge (bottled water, milk) and a cupboard with keurig packets (hot chocolate, teas, coffee, etc). My hubby and I often sat on the wingback chairs in the bedroom, shared a blanket, and looked out the window while we sipped hot beverages. Or we would sit on our balcony and enjoy the rays. They take such special care of their home. From the toiletries provided to the comfy robes, bedsheets, and slippers provided. Their garden was to die for. It had multiple levels [being on a hill and all]: Nicole served us fruit off the trees, mint off the herbs and we got to explore the amazing landscaping. Behind their yard was a hiking trail which leads up to a super high mountain (with multiple routes) that overlooks the entire city. Beautiful! It is merely a 10 minute drive into the city with so much to see and many places to simply walk around and shop. We didn't want to leave. Nicole also recommended some great places to visit; our favorite was a beautiful winery. The area was covered in orchards. Breathtakingly beautiful.
The B&B food was VERY good (fresh local fruit and home cooked scones, quiche, sausages, pancakes, etc.) and the home is well maintained (beautiful bathroom cleaned daily - though shared, we never had to deal with lineups to get access).
I will however provide some constructive criticism: They need to fix the bathroom door (it takes quite abit of effort to close it), fix the window in the lakeview room (wedged open with a piece of wood), and organize their bookings a bit better (we were moved back and forth on night 3 due to double bookings/mixups). Also, though their dogs were beautiful, they also got skiddish around new people. When I first came into their home, one of them growled/bore teeth and charged me. Thankfully Nicole or her hubby weren't far so they could grab them or call them away. We had a similar encounter with their dogs a few more times during our stay. Very unsettling. I would suggest that whenever the doorbell rings/new people come in, they should either hold their dogs, leash them, or have them in another room and introduce them to us when they are ready. Or perhaps even have them stay in the owners' personal portion of the B&B when they know they have guests coming in and out [as these dogs do not deal with new people all that well]. Also, I am not sure if they could do anything about this, but we can hear everything going on in the house from our bedroom. From the cooking and downstairs conversations to the guests coming in and out. Given it's an old home I figure it just has outdated insulation/soundproofing?
Overall though, I would HIGHLY recommend this B&B. What a great rejuvenating, warm, beautiful experience. The down to earth and attention to detail hosts make treat you like family and it is so easy to talk to them. My husband and I are already planning to treat the in-laws to a stay someday ;-)
Merci beaucoup Nicole!!

Lovely place to stay, food excellent, views from house stunning and a great host. The area is worth and visit, we used it as a stopping off point before driving up to Banff and Jasper. Would recommend Chez Nicole.

This was the best 2 night stay on our 3 weeks vacation in Canada. First of all Nicole waited for us past 11:30 pm to welcome us on first day. We had informed her of our possible late arrival due to Long drive from Banff and she had no issues with it. She was also very patient with our arrival time for breakfast both mornings. The view from lake view room was awesome. Room was big and bed was very comfortable. We shared bathroom with guests in the other room. This was our first experience sharing bathroom in a hotel/B&B, but was not a big issue.
She has a very gentle dog. My 5 year old enjoyed spending hours in the garden on the backside. It is a mini botanic garden with variety of flowers, frutIts and vegetable plantations. It is inspiring to see how Nicole takes care of the house, the garden and the guests almost single handedly. My Daughter also had the company of her very friendly 9 yr old niece who happened to be at the house on the days we stayed there. Due to the higher altitude of the house you get Panoromic view of the kelowna city from almost every corner of the house.
Breakfast was good and sufficient. We were told that the eggs served to us in breakfast were from the 5 hens Nicole owns. The hens Can be seen in an enclosure in the backyard.
Overall Nicole and her Husband have done a great job building the exteriors and interiors of the house. It was indeed a very pleasant experience. We fell in love with kelowna partly because of her house and our stay there.

This is a very hard review to write. The home, set on a a hill overlooking the lake is superbly decorated. the gardens are magnificent. We stayed in the Lakeview room - gorgeous, with a very comfortable bed. Our hosts are very nice people. My dietary requirements were easily accommodated. We got some good recommendations of places to visit.
We just didn't find Chez Nicole relaxing.
We'd overlooked the fact that there was a shared bathroom because of the decor and the views, but we'd never choose a place without a private bathroom again.
We didn't know whose towels were whose, or whether the other couple had used the water glasses...I guess that could be easily fixed with different colours for different rooms. There was a sumptuous bath, just no time to use it because there were always other guests present.
The bedrooms are on the third floor, so if you can't do stairs, then this not the property for you.
We found conversations from the rest of the house drifted up to the third floor so it wasn't that quiet.
Also, breakfast is served in the one and only kitchen/dining area, so there were phones ringing, the cleaning lady arrived, calls about trucks that needed fixing, lots of talking at us, .... Now don't get me wrong, we're perfectly engaged and cheery in the mornings, so these comments aren't made because we're grumpy 'not morning' people... it just was not relaxing for us. Other guests had the right idea and took their breakfast out into the garden for some peace and quiet. We wish we'd done the same.
That doesn't change the stairs, or the bathroom, or the noise, so sadly we wouldn't recommend this place to anyone we knew.

This was a sweet little BnB run by a friendly owner. You do need a car to get up the hillside but it has lovely views out over the lake. There are two friendly dogs resident. The breakfast was homemade an amazing. There is a little pool if you need a dip during a hot day. The aircon unit in our room was pretty noisy and as we needed it on to be comfortable at night, it did keep me awake. Nicole had some great tips for the local area and was interesed in who we were and where we came from. I thought the price was a little steep for what is essentially an AirBnB setup, although my partner disagreed.

I've stayed at Nicole's twice now, and could not be more enthusiastic about recommending this place -- you will find here a true oasis with some of the best views of the Okanagan valley / lake (truly you can't prepare yourself for the sunrises & sunsets you will witness here!!), and a host who is simply delightful... she pointed us toward some of our favorite finds in Kelowna, as her recommendations are thoughtful and tailored (think: ice cream at the local goat farmers... mountain hiking trails that start from right behind the house... watching the sunset from the 'tea house'!), and gave us a wonderfully nourishing food experience (between her organic/local home cooking, and fantastic restaurant recommendations). You will leave this place feeling truly pampered and relaxed, and probably searching the calendar to book your next visit... Will definitely return!

Our room was large, beautifully decorated with a walk-in closet, wine glasses on the table and gorgeous view of sunrise over Lake Okanagan every day.The bed was very comfortable but there were way too many blankets, pillows and quilts We stayed 7 nights and got to know a little about the Poziak family. We too heard Nicole and Steve talking to their family members and business associates but that didn't bother us in the least. Nicole is very informative about the surrounding area, wineries, restaurants and talkative about her own life and what it took to make the home so beautiful. Steve is more quiet, and is delightful in his own warm, welcoming way.
The shared bath didn't bother us at all since we had it to ourselves most of the time. The shower is wonderful with unique tiling. There is also a large tub for folks who like to soak. We visited in the fall, so the heated saline pool was closed for the season, but it has a wonderful view of the lake too.
Comments about stairs and the steepness of the garden paths are right on. My husband has breathing problems and occasional knee problems. He needed rest stops twice on the way up the stairs or going from the back door up to the teahouse. Having said that, we would go back in a heartbeat. We highly recommend this B & B for people who are healthy or are willing to work a bit to get to their room.

This is a treat if you are going for a quiet location 5 minutes drive out of the busy town. The B&B is built on a steep hillside with a incredible garden up the hillside. On top of the garden is a Teahouse where you have the 180 degree view over the lake to the city and surrounding mountains decorated with Vineyards. We stayed in the 2 rooms on the top floor. The whole B&B is impeccable clean and well kept. The host Nicole is very helpful and gave our stay a feeling of home away from home. Very highly recommended and ideal if you are 2 couples. This is the place to stay in Kelowna.

We stayed at the beautiful Lake View Room for just one night and wished had booked two nights instead. Nicole and the family are super friendly and gave us a warm welcoming. She directed us to the local farmers market for some gift shopping and to a nice restaurant for supper. Her chicken coop, garden and home is amazingly well taken care. The room is so beautiful and the view spectacular. We will never forget the delicious French toast with cream cheese filling and fresh berries toppings. Yum...

Nicole and Steve are welcoming gracious hosts at this beautiful B & B! The house and grounds are as breath taking as the view. If you are considering touring the wineries Nicole will steer you in the right direction. The delicious breakfasts started our days off great!
