With a multitude of activities (outdoor chess board, lake renting equipment, waterslide-pool, gym, and home theatre) it was hard to evacuate on August 17th... Overall our stay met our needs with proper staff, respect, and honouring of a refund for the nights we’d miss due to evacuation...

Very disappointing. Excellent service from the front desk but otherwise fell below standards implied by the website. Faint distant view of lake from room. No desk for typing in my room. Swimming pool closed by early October. No breakfast. Almost two miles to nearest source of breakfast. Atmosphere flat as a pancake. Going fit walk or run by the lake was the one redeeming feature.

Our website notes the seasonality of some of our resort amenities as well as the operating hours for the restaurant so our guests may plan accordingly. The pool and other resort amenities typically close on the Thanksgiving weekend and open on May Long weekend should you wish to return to enjoy those features again in the future. Very impressed
Service provided by the staff was professional and courteous. Our unit was well located with a gorgeous view, well appointed and extremely clean. The grounds were wonderful including the pools and the gardens. Restaurant was delicious. Great location to get to all the wineries and restaurants in the West Kelona area. If ever back in the area we will return to the cove.

Family vacation at The Cove
First time at this resort for us. From the initial interaction right through check-out we felt that everyone at the resort genuinely were glad to have us stay. The suite was large and well-appointed, clean, and with lots of natural light. Loved the balcony. Pool area was well maintained and the kids loved it. The restaurant was super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had just what we wanted. We tried the dine-in option and the takeaway option. Appreciated that they did made a point of not accepting a tip for takeaway orders. Makes it more valuable to leave a tip when you dine-in. Hassle free check-out and we were left feeling that we had received great value for money.

Very poor given the fact we stayed during the McDougall Creek wildfire - a state of Emergency within the region. Payment was taken upfront )over $3500.00) - pricing not properly discussed @ over $702.00 per night. Desk agent took my name by phone and got it wrong, not verifying full name, address etc or asking for other peoples names staying in the unit. Hotels and resorts could and some did go the extra mile for those of us displaced. A very nig missed opportunity for 'locals' at this establishment.

Unfortunatley due to Wilde Fire unable to attend but charged full fee
On the day I was scheduled to arrive, my plane could not land in Kelowna because of the smoke and strong winds. We were redirected to Calgary. Since the situation in Kelowna intensified and the hotel is located on the same side as the raging fires, we did not take the chance to venture there. We contacted the hotel to see if an arrangement was possible (reduction of price or credit for a future stay) but were told that it was not possible. The lack of understanding and empathy from the hotel surprised us and disappointed us. I ended up having to pay 2 rooms for 6 nights despite not going at all. I feel that their policy should have been more flexible given the circumstances.

Evacuees 2023 from West Kelowna during forest fires
The Cove is a lovely place. BUT as evacuees from the forest fires we feel we were charged an astronomical amount for our two nights accommodation. We were forced from our home and the last available hotel we could find in our community was The Cove I have written them an email with the hopes that they may reimburse us for a portion of the cost. Have not heard from them yet.

Honouring Committed Team
The Cove Lakeside Resort was an exceptional stay, even despite wildfire conditions in Kelowna, on August 18th, 2023. We arrived late evening August 16th and we’re met with kind regards at reception, and we’re sorted into our most appropriate room. With a multitude of activities (outdoor chess board, lake renting equipment, waterslide-pool, gym, and home theatre) it was hard to evacuate on August 17th. Overall our stay met our needs with proper staff, respect, and honouring of a refund for the nights we’d miss due to evacuation. Expected we will be returning soon when it is safe to do so, and summer again. Five Stars.

Beautiful resort / better customer service needed
Beautiful resort , not good communication/ not organized. From the booking process to arrival , communication was not good. We registered our vehicle upon check in, received a parking ticket. Went to the desk, she told us she would take care of it. Then woke up the next day, we received another parking ticket , the gentleman told us we were still not registered to park. No breakfast available at the resort nor is there any walking distance

Beautiful place but they want you to be quiet, so not ideal if you have younger children.
Beautiful, spacious place with a cute pool and waterslide and private beach area. It was really great value for the room we had, which had 3 bedrooms and a loft plus a fully equipped kitchen. The only thing is that we got a call from the front desk in the middle of the day telling us that we were being noisy. We are not that noisy. Ok, I get we have 4 kids, but isn't that expected in a family resort with a pool in a large room with multiple bedrooms? You will get families with kids. It was not night time, we were not playing music, singing, screaming, no kids were crying or jumping off furniture. We were just talking and walking. Literally. I am sorry if my kids are heavy footed. That is how toddlers toddle. Perhaps that is a building problem, please don't make it my problem by telling us to be quiet. I have never been to a place and told to be quiet (even when I was a young college student haha) and this made me feel awful and become a mean mom shushing my kids to tiptoe everywhere and walk gently the WHOLE time we were there. Not a fun holiday. OK maybe I am being sensitive, but really? Why make me feel bad for just staying there? We went to bed early and literally did nothing out of the ordinary of what a quiet family with kids would do. I wouldn't recommend for families with kids. Clearly it is meant to be a quiet resort. …

Was an impromptu trip from online ad promoting bc residence 15% off. Impulse buy and does not regret. Thank you for a great stay, we will be back. The crème brûlée at the restaurant was to die for. Front desk guy was great at check in and helped us get the things we asked for really quickly 👍🏻
